Hua Yu Wee is an old school establishment located along Upper East coast road, and has been around since the 1950s.
The restaurant itself is located inside a huge bungalow with indoors and outdoor seating. The interior had a very retro vibe.
One of Hua Yu Wee signature dish, is their Feng Sha Chicken, which has been De-Boned, flatten and fried into crispy strips. Delicious.
Comes with a green chilli dip for some added spiciness.
Made with fresh mangoes, vanilla mascarpone chantilly, passionfruit cream and vanilla sponge.
Daisy looks so pretty and taste just as good.
The sponge cake within was moist and not dry whatsoever.
That thick layer of vanilla cream cheese "mascarpone" was damn shiok and actually goes damn well with the mangoes.
Patisserie Cle has other pretty looking cakes, and I feel very tempted to try their pistachio cake the next time.
When it's late at night, and u craving for prawn noodles, this is where u must go.
The soup here is delicious and with some added chilli padi, it will be damn shiok.
The prawns were fresh and the chilli sauce was damn good when stirred and mixed with the prawns, meat & noodles.
May not be the best prawn mee, but definitely a good one, especially at 2am in the morning.
Best place to have Mala Xiang Guo surely is at Chinatown.
And the most popular mala xiang guo at chinatown is at 日日红. You know it's good when the queue constant and never shortens throughout meal time.
At this MXG stall, they will pick the portions for you as u choose. Their sauce is flavourful and garlicky.
Mellben will always be be go-to restaurant for crab. Hands down my favourite.
Crab here are always fresh, meaty and the sauce is great.
Female crabs are full of roe, but the claws are smaller.
Male crabs have bigger and meatier claws.
5% Discount if pay by cash.
Please make reservations before coming. Unless u want to queue and wait.
Delicate strands of French chestnut cream piped onto a shortcake of chantilly and sliced Japanese chestnuts.
Not a fan of Mont Blanc, but this cake may just start to change me. The Chestnut cream was light & Fluffy texture, tasted Mildly flavourful and creamy.
Strawberries were fresh as well.
Some of the best brownies i ever had were from Lucia Cakes. And if u were like me, cannot decide what flavours to try, just set the 4 flavour boxes.
Every Brownie had a light crunchy yet moist texture, with very rich flavours.
Especially like the biscoff for me. The peanut butter one was too "Gao" for me.
Non Nutty Box:
- Biscoff
- Triple Choc
- Salted Caramel
- Oreo

Hom Tang Kitchen is a recently opened thai establishment here at Sunset Way. Located next to the multi storey carpark staircase exit.
Phad thai here is really not bad. Not the best thai food u will ever have, but certainly passable.
Had the $8 Portion
Can choose from (Pork/Chicken/Seafood)
Soup tasted good but missing that kick of spiciness.
Seafood was fresh.
The meats here at Nami was good, but I found it rather expensive.
Nami Platter consist of:
1) USDA Prime Ribeye
2) USDA Prime Boneless Short Rib
3) Kurobuta Pork Belly
4) Marinated Pork Collar
There will be a staff doing the grilling for you here, so no need to worry if u will get the correct doneness of your beef.
Nami is located at a rather public transport inaccessible location at Greenwood Ave. Hard to get parking lots as the area gets very very crowded during dinner time on weekends. I had to park 7mins walk away at the private housing area.
Google reviews for this place is very good, with a 4.8/5 rating with over 650 reviews.
Reservations are recommended.
Army Stew- very flavourful and not every spicy, damn shiok.

Upside Portion comes Abalone.
+$1 for 2 additional fishball.
Total:$9
Had wanted to eat this fishball noodles ever since I watch FoodKing doing a review for this place. But couldn't make it here easily as they only opened during working hours and are closed on Sunday.
The fishballs was so soft and springy and flavourful, u could cut it in half easily with your chopstick.
The meatballs were also soft and springy.
The mee pok soaks up the chilli and vinegar well.
The abalone was fleshy and adds an umami taste to the entire dish.
