Truffle fries were served piping hot & was giving out a heavenly smell. $6 for this, quite worth it.
Rather disappointed with the truffle mayo they have for the prime beef burger. It wasn't strong enough to know that there is truffle. The sweet relish overthrown the taste & smell of the truffle mayo. I like my beef medium rare & this was pretty consistent here.
#02-34 reads Lin Ji Sliced Fish Soup & Handmade Noodles. I prefer fried fish soup more than sliced fish but however this stall's fried fish has more batter than fish meat. The soup, however is tasty and they would ask if you would like to add egg (no charge!) doesn't leave a lingering taste for me to have craving for it when time comes again though.... #Hawkerpedia
Didn't expected the lobster linguine to turn out so huge! Initially order aglio olio but it was cooked wrongly. Staff was super polite 😊 definitely gg back again!
Prawns sautéed in butter, garlic, parsley & brandy. Say what!!!! The prawns were crunchy & the sauce was heavenly but a tad too salty for my liking.
I read about the famous dishes of pasta brava last night before we dined here tonight. I'm so glad I chose this as my main! Thin slices of homemade pasta that has the same consistency, alongside with scallops, prawns and peppercorn in white wine & saffron cream sauce. Love this 😍 so flavorful!
At Pasta Brava, you're able to choose what kind of style you would like your pasta to be. From pesto to arrabbiata etc. For this dish, it was originally cooked in tomato sauce, we had it changed to aglio olio, it wasn't too overpowering that covers the sweet oceanic taste of the prawns, squid, scallops & crayfish!
Ribbon pasta with white wine sauce & crab meat! The wait for this pasta was too long though; an hour!
Nice ambience, food is quite tasty but it's salty and a hefty price! What's the hype about?! The service is quite slow but fast when we call for the bill. S$80.62 for pax of 2. Meh.
When Piao Ji (2nd Floor) is too crowded, another option would be Rong Teochew! It may be underrated but I love their handmade meatballs, tender, crunchy water chestnuts were found in one meatball. The soup wasn't oily yet have a mild taste. It's $5 for the soup, additional $0.50 for noodles. I would rather queue for Piao Ji if time allows though.
Strozzapreti in alba truffle porcini mushroom sauce. Anything truffle that I'm able to taste & whiff is gonna be nice, & this was great. Pasta was al dente and the cream wasn't too heavy that you won't get tired of it after tasting it for awhile.
Smoked duck carpaccio with orange and black olives. Sweet & salty at the same time, alongside with soft & crunchy texture. Perfect starter.
