It’s hard to go wrong with mantou! I liked the crispiness. Haidilao’s mantou fares better tho, this was a bit too bready/floury inside, wasn’t as shiok.
It’s alright, nothing wrong with it but just not memorable. A pretty typical dumpling!
None of us liked this! We ordered one non-spicy and one spicy - the non spicy one was way better. This had a sour taste that didn’t match and was not spicy at all.
This was good - crisp outside, moist and juicy inside, not too heavily seasoned. I liked it tho I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s v spectacular, but it is better than average.
This is a major skip lol I like my ssp to be crunchy, or at the very least, show that it used to have a crunch before being doused in sauce. This was just soft, and the sauce was average. I liked the generous amount of capsicums and pineapples in it tho.
THIS veg dish tho. Was v yummy everyone liked it! Seems simple - cabbage fried with garlic and chili, plus some pork slices, but somehow it tasted really good, and eating it hot also added to the enjoyment. If you only order 2 dishes here, let it be the tomato egg and this. Unless you’re carnivorous and need a meat dish.
Similar thoughts as the kailan in my previous post~
Their veggies here are all p flavourful, not sure if they put any MSG in it to attain that taste. But it’s nicely fried with garlic, crunchy and not overcooked. Tasty but not spectacular.
It’s $9 if u spend >$38, we ordered 2 for our table of 11 so we were charged $9 + $15.8. It’s decent, crunchy but I thought the chicken cubes could be a teensy bit more tender. But I’ve only ever eaten laziji twice in my life so I have not point of reference. It was tasty, and not spicy, just a mild warmth, despite the mountain of chillies it was fried with.
SUPER good I think it’s the best tomato egg I’ve had recently. It’s very flavourful, the egg is not cooked all the way through, just cooked enough such that it has some structure while being really soft and creamy while tomatoes are juicy. Extra shiok when eaten piping hot. Honestly a bit heavy on flavour but we’re sharing, and having it with rice so it’s fine!
Potatoes were soft but not mushy. It’s alright, but can skip!
This was sooo yummy. The thin coating of batter on the whitebait was perfectly crisp and light. Well-seasoned and great with the cold, refreshing tzatziki that was slightly sour, with shreds of cucumber that added some crunch. Addictive and a great snack to munch on while waiting for the pizzas!
