Love beard papaās cookie cream puff - thereās little crunchy bits on top of the puff! Februaryās seasonal flavour was strawberry, which had a nice fresh strawberry taste, didnāt feel artificial! Wasnāt too sweet as well šš¼
Their pistachio gelato is great as usual! Smooth, roasty nutty pistachio goodness, but not overly thick (so itās not so gelat). I looove!!
The coffee dalgona had a nice strong coffee taste, but I wish they would do away with the dalgona bit (honeycomb swirled in, if I remember correctly) as those parts were too sweet.
The pear was very refreshing and pleasant, and had pear bits in it that gave textural variation. We liked it!
Was not bad, pretty earthy and mushroomy, texture was fine too! Overall, while decent, I wouldnāt come if they werenāt on burpple beyond, as I could get an authentic Italian meal at a similar price point.
Iām personally not a fan of vongole because it feels like pasta in soup to me, so I canāt write a fair review other than the fact that the broth was rather é²ē and that my friends seemed to like it.
Prawns, squid, baby scallops, mussels were decently cooked. Toppings were fine but I didnāt like the thin crust of bread dough, it felt like an undeveloped pizza. I guess itās supposed to be this thin, but in future I wouldnāt order it if I saw such a dish on the menu.
Texture of tagliatelle was a bit like meepok, and was a bit soft. I tried this dish at eleven strands (their sister cafe) and wasnāt a fan of the chopped up prawns, but thankfully the prawns were left whole, they were firm and not overcooked. Pesto sauce was alright, tasty enough tho not particularly outstanding.
Not bad, was crisp and didnāt get soggy easily. Kombu seasoning was tasty, but the truffle wasnāt v strong.
Quite liked the variety of banchan! Not outstanding but pretty decent.
Honestly quite liked this - had a good variety and was rather tasty. Thereās spinach, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, zucchini, Korean beansprouts, and one more item (was it burdock? I canāt rmb but I know itās not typically served in the most Korean restaurants). Unfortunately the Bulgogi beef got pretty burnt and black, but the non-burnt parts were well-marinated and tender. Rice was decent! At this price, I wouldnāt mind having it if Iām around the area again.
Seafood was pretty fresh, I particularly liked the flounder! The sashimi was sliced pretty thinly tho, would have appreciated slightly thicker cuts. Rice was pearly and sticky, was of good quality! The set also came with miso soup, chawanmushi, salad with wafu dressing, and fresh fruits. Overall it was above average! I would rather have this over the nearby 2 Japanese restaurants, felt more like an authentic Japanese restaurant over those. Would return if I feel like having something more bougie!
Went to Shunfu Market recently, and this stall caught my eye with its long lines! But waiting time wasnāt too long thankfully.
Soup was clear and tasty, felt quite light and clean - I think this isnāt suited for those who love a super rich prawn soup. This had a more old school taste to it, and the soup felt more porky than prawny. I liked it tho, it hits the spot when you want prawn mee but donāt feel like having something so heavy.
The beehoon went well with the soup, lean pork slices were rather tender, and prawns though small, were firm and sweet. Thereās beansprouts and kangkong too, along with LORGE chonky pieces of crisp lard and fried shallots. I would get this again!
Korean fried cauliflower, gochujang, āMa Lingā spam crisps, toasted sesame
The cauli was soft with a crispy element from the crisps, and wasnāt rly spicy just a mild heat. Was tasty but not rly salty. I didnāt think it was as ~amazing~ as the server introduced but not too bad!
