Coffee jelly was v refreshing, with a strong coffee flavour and went well with the smooth, sweet milk cream!
Jjm was pretty good! Noodles were chewy, sauce was flavourful with generous portions of soft onions and pork. It was served piping hot so it was extra shiok.
Tangsuyuk was crisp and served in thick meaty chunks, they are once again super generous with portions, but I found some pieces a tad dry / hard. The sauce was quite tangy, reminded me of lemon chicken sauce. I liked that it was served separately on the side instead of being poured directly onto the meat - we get to decide how much sauce we want!
At this price point, it is really v value for money given the quality and portions, I would definitely come back for the jjm and also try their other dishes!
This is a like a stuffd kiosk, where u pick the protein, veg, and sauces. Their pita was flat like a wrap, just in a pita pocket shape. Not a fan. Thankfully, the filling was p decent - I liked the falafel, which was slightly crunch, nicely spiced and crumbly. For the fresh veg, I got tomato, purple cabbage, lettuce (not iceberg), cucumbers, black and green olives. They were crunchy and not too stale. Thereās 3 sauces - hummus, garlic yogurt, and a homemade sauce. I got the non-spicy ones! They placed the filled pita on a panini press, making it piping hot when served. Overall I enjoyed it other than the lacklustre pita pocket (it feels like itās from a supermarket packet), idm having it again but itās not something I would crave for (unlike miznon š¤Ŗ).
Very meh. Noodles were ok thi not what I expected - itās thinner than the Vietnamese noodles I usually have at Vietnamese stores. The beef was terrible, full of tendons, with barely any meat to eat. Itās marinated with lemongrass, and it wasnāt dry, but itās a bit sweet. Spring rolls were crisp but tasted average, lettuce and pickled veg were fine. Not coming back.
Soup base was pleasant and not heavy or salty, but it wasnāt really tasty, I wished it had more natural sweetness from the pork/chicken. The noodles and ingredients came separately from the piping hot soup - youāre supposed to add them all in and wait ~1 min. Thereās prawns, fish, pork belly, fried pork slices, chicken, chives, corn, spring onions, quail eggs and č±č ē®. They were alright. The noodles tasted like ē²ē±³ē² tho, I somehow expected something more special since ē²ē±³ē² is commonly found in most noodle shops here in SG. Idm coming here again to try other dishes! An interesting lunch option, but nothing to shout about.
Rice could be better, it wasnāt as pearly and sticky as other Korean restaurants. I got some crispy(?)/dried bits. The mushrooms are juicy and flavourful, carrots and beansprouts were tasty, spinach was a bit salty. Sunny side egg was done properly! The minced pork was savoury and tasty. They're not very generous right ingredients. But ok it's great when I am leaving room for dessert!
Banchan:
- Corn was sweet and crunchy, not v jelat even tho itās slathered in sauce
- Kimchi looks meh but is crunchy and spicy, tho not the best Iāve had
- Radish crunchy & slightly spicy, but didnāt appeal to me
- Seaweed was yummy! Had a slight sweetness to it
- Tofu was sweet, not usually a fan of this sort of banchan
- Ikan wasnāt too salty, also wasnāt sharp and pokey
- Cucumber was crunchy & slightly spicy, liked this better than the radish
Had this at artbox. Was alright, not bad but also not outstanding. Flavours were there and wasnāt heavy. Each piece was quite tiny.
Spring roll is crisp with crunchy turnips, zai er is crunchy. The mock meat is decent, beehoon is quite moist and springy! They also have egg noodles if youāre not feeling like having beehoon, it tastes like wedding noodles that is nicely fried too. Cabbage is soft but still crunchy. Another veg beehoon stall to add to my rotation!
Not bad - savoury but not too salty, was crisp after toasting but with a moist soft core. Not too greasy even though it was sufficiently buttery.
Was pretty bitter, with a strong hojicha taste. It was a crisp and flaky croissant, moist inside and crisp outside. Tho $9 for a single croissant is a bit much, I guess it's because of the hojicha powder.
They've improved a lot - it used to be more greasy and lamination is a lot better! Would repurchase again :)
Came here for the feb fish sando special but unfortunately we were a few minutes too late - it had sold out :( We tried the tonkatsu and chashu ones before and were satisfied, happy to know that these two items were great too! The portobello was joosy and had a nice bite, and I also liked the balsamic capsicum which was sour and naturally sweet. The Camembert went well with the portobello. There was no arugula in the sandwich tho, unlike what the menu wrote. Instead there was lettuce. Bun was soft and fluffy and held the ingredients well without getting too soggy.
Tori karaage was delish too! Chicken was tender with a crunchy outer coating, went well with the hot honey and other sauces for a sweet and savoury bite. The slaw helped cut through the heaviness of the sandwich, but I wish there was more, for a more refreshing flavour.
TLDR: sandoās sandos are great! Big fan
They reheated it for us but I think it could be more crisp! The outer part is laminated and buttery while the interior is bready-ish and filled with custard and choc. Was decent but I donāt think Iāll reorder, would rather go for their tarts / other pastries.
