Tofu Scramble, Kale, Mushrooms, Grains, Avocado, Nuts, Seeds. Ingredients were fresh and lightly seasoned, was tasty! Avo was nicely ripened, tofu scramble was soft and felt like scrambled eggs, oyster mushrooms were joosy and delish. Portion looked small but was more substantial than expected! Would order again, was yummy~
The brioche was p thick and fluffy and soft, not super buttery but good with the caramelised bananas + coconut caramel. Wasn’t a big fan of the salted caramel ice cream with almonds, tasted slightlyyy doughy but thankfully wasn’t sickeningly sweet. There were pecans in there too! Overall liked the dish, good for sharing if not it might be a tad sweet - we shared amongst 4!
Wanton mee was springy and tossed in a dark sauce, reminds me a bit of tian xiang at margaret drive! The charsiew was not bad, I was thrown off by the red colouring but it’s actl p tender and tasty, I also liked that my portion was rather lean, as I don’t like so much fat. Comes with 3 boiled wantons (decent tasting, adequately filled with meat) in a mild peppery soup, and some greens. If you’re into lard u can ask them to scoop some on, the guy before me did that.
Overall I enjoyed the bowl, especially with the green chilli. I like it bc it’s of a similar style to tian xiang which we ate pretty frequently some time ago, but for both there’s nothing particularly outstanding, it’s just a nice reliable wanton mee that satisfies. It’s very popular tho, so be prepared to wait! They’ll give u a number tag and flash the number when the order is ready.
A simple yuzu dessert with reasonably yuzu-ish filling + yuzu cheese and meringue. I liked it, but it’s not one of their more exciting items.
Chocolate mousse was smooth and dark, the sponge was alright. The description mentions a crunchy core of crushed hazelnuts, salted caramel, hazelnut dacquoise but I don’t rmb it being very crunchy, maybe it’s bc I didn’t get to eat much of the crunchy part? I would prefer a crunchy base tho that’s more mainstream and not entremet-like. The feuilletine at the side was nice and crunchy. I do prefer other choc mousse cakes / entremets tho, maybe it’s also because their items are not served cold and I prefer chilled mousse-based desserts.
When I saw this extremely red item I thought I wouldn’t like it (the colouring 🥲) but I actually liked this a lot!! The caramelised apple peach tartin was sweet and juicy, rly liked this part. It came with a cream cheese mousse which was ok, and a v delicious sweet and salty biscuit base - the saltiness was apparent such that it made me take notice (even without reading the description of the components), but in a controlled and not too salty manner. Would definitely have this again!
I couldn’t really taste the raspberry, but the grape was prominent and I liked the actual sliced grapes in it. The mille feuille was super crisp and buttery! Not bad but it’s really hard to eat with a fork / to share.
Rose sponge layered with a refreshing lychee cremeux, lychee bits, rose ganache, rose mousse. Was quite refreshing bc the lychee bits were ice-cold, and the components complemented each other. Not a fan of lychee / rose so I can say I like it, but it was well done and 2 of my colleagues picked this as their fav out of the 8 items we got.
What a delicious tart!! For 3 of us, it was the favourite out of the 8 items we got. The earl grey creme was smooth and fragrant with a prominent earl grey flavour, but not overly floral. The orange curd and jelly were citrusy but not sour, complemented the earl grey v nicely. Tart crust was nice as usual, crunchy and buttery, not soggy nor too hard. It’s definitely something I would have again / get as a gift.
It’s good!! A salad bowl type of place with more interesting options than the usual daily cut / heybo/ etc. I got a mix of sushi rice (was quite pearly) and raw spinach leaves as my base, for protein I got the boneless fried chicken. Fried chicken is actl very off-brand for me but I didn't feel like eating cold raw food that day (they have salmon/ tuna poke). They reheat the pre-fried chicken in an oven and then toss it in a delicious kicap manis sauce - it's a worthy fried / heaty item!
For veggies I got green papaya, kimchi, and cucumber. I liked all 3, they were crunchy and refreshing. For sauce I got the sambal mayo (they recommended, it’s not spicy at all and was ok but no particular liking for it), I tried my friend’s yuzu mayo and it was v pleasantly yuzu-ish, might get that / go sauce-less next time, as the bowl was alr sufficiently moist and flavourful, didn’t need any sauce. For the 2 toppings I got spiced peanuts (yum! crunchy and a bit sweet) and furikake.
TLDR: delicious and I would definitely go back!
Other than the fried chicken it’s quite healthy and this is a salad bowl place so I’m j going to put it under the health album
The mhk itself is a little average, it’s the flat kind and it’s not as chewy as the good mhks I’ve had before. It still has a bite to it, and only became a bit more doughy towards the end of the meal. But the soup and ingredients are nice! Soup is flavourful but didn’t feel msg-ish, and they use mani cai as the veg! Minced meat is marinated and tender, ikan bilis was yummy. Added an egg bc I love egg drop soup! Prawns were overcooked 😢
Tho overall I felt it was not spectacular as nothing particularly stood out, but I would come again! Comforting and nothing wrong other than the prawn.
The crust was buttery and crunchy, and the tart was filled with a pistachio cremeux, hazelnut praline, and vanilla chantilly, topped with pistachio nuts. The pistachio cremeux was lightly nutty and silky, not a very intense pistachio flavour but it’s okay bc it’s less gelat / sweet plus atipico does it like that too and I like atipico a lot 😛 I did wish the hazelnut praline was more prominent tho. Still a pleasant dessert, but not my first pick.
