Love the bibimbap here! The meats are always nicely marinated and tender, both the beef (which I tried previously) and this chicken. Chicken looks red and spicy but it was rly not spicy. The combination of vegetables is up my alley too - there’s zucchini, carrots, radish, Korean beansprouts, and gosari namul (bracken fiddleheads), something not commonly served in bibimbap in sg! The rice is plump and moist but not mushy, and forms this beautiful golden brown scorched rice (not burnt) which was sooo roasty and fragrant. And it’s cheap compared to Myung ga’s $20 bibimbap which I also enjoy. It’s a good portion that doesn’t make me feel stuffed.

I loove kaya buns esp when they are done well. And this one was satisfying! A thin 'skin' of crispness outside, with a fluffy, chewy interior. The sweet coffee taste in the bun is distinct, but I wished it was a kopi kosong bun. Kaya ratio is optimal for the bun, and there's a big slab of cold butter which I thought was too much but it turned out to be an appropriate amount.

Pork Belly l Pickled Mushroom l Dried Squid l
Dried Radish l Pickled Garlic Shoot l Baby Romaine Lettuce

Wooow this was good!! The pork belly was perfectly caramelised, each piece had a nice char and smoky flavour, and was soooo soft and tender. It was pretty fatty, but still very meaty. It got a bit too fatty for me after a few pieces so I had to remove the fats.

Sides were really nice too. The pickled garlic shoot was super good, felt like an interesting version of an asparagus. Dried radish and squid was crunchy and lightly spicy-sweet, and pickled mushrooms were p interesting, I didn’t expect them to be pickled so it was something different, having that sourness. Baby romaine was crisp and was a great vessel to hold everything.

Thought this would also go well with rice! It’s a great dish, I would definitely have it again. Felt that portion was pretty huge.

White kimchi l Radish l Red Dates

It’s white kimchi! With briny and sour flavours, it was rather refreshing, crunchy and delicate. The red dates gave a nice complementary natural sweetness. Worth a try!

Cauliflower l Rice Cake l Multigrain l Gochujang

Think sweet and sour pork but Korean style and vegetarian! I liked how the batter was of thick enough to have a nice crunch, but thin enough to not feel doughy. The cauli encased within is soft and tender. Good flavours, on the sweet side, and not too salty or spicy.

Couldn’t decide if I liked the like balls of rice cake, on one hand I like the rice flavour but the texture is a bit strange for me. Overall it’s yummy dish, I would order again!

Potato l Zucchini l Prawn l Onion Pickle

The jeon was v crisp, with each thin sliver of potato, zucchini and prawn coated with a batter and deep fried. I love crispy things and it was really crisp, but that was also its downfall.

There was no soft chewiness I would associate with a jeon, and I felt this was pretty dry and one dimensional. The onion pickle did little to help, it was not really my thing.

Overall it’s still decent, not horrible, but I was kinda disappointed with this dish. Maybe adding cheese would help. But this departs too far from my expectations of a jeon, I wouldn’t order again nor recommend.

Black Bean l Mascarpone Cheese l Chive Oil l Sourdough Cracker

Really enjoyed this! It was light and very refreshing. I liked the subtle sweetness of the black bean paired with the mascarpone, which was surprisingly not at all heavy. The sourdough crackers were crunchy and thin. I loved the small indentation of chive oil on the mascarpone, it was super flavourful and very unique. Definitely would order this again!

Couldn’t leave without getting some skinless brown toast, perfect for recreating the kaya toast experience at home. Soft, fluffy, good for steamed bread or crisp toast!

Enjoyed this! A classic, old school bun that satisfies. The dough has a slightly sweetish flavour. Texture-wise its soft, its fluffy but in a way that is more chewy than fluffy, I’m not sure how best to describe it.

The red bean filling is goood - it’s sweet but not v sweet, in purée form like a doushabao filling!! You have to really love bread, eat half at a time, or share this, the bread part is a lot and p chewy.

This was also great!! Very refreshing and light, not too sour, sweet, nor gingery, but each component (lemon, honey, ginger) was discernible and went well together. I'm not a sorbet person usually but this I would order again~ Super satisfied with both flavours!!

A seasonal flavour! Nutty, buttery, with a pleasant honey sweetness. Yet not heavy or saccharine, with little macadamia bits that gave some texture. It's super good!!

They rotate seasonal flavours very frequently, I think once the batch finishes they move on to the next. So when I had this I knew I had to buy a pint home right away to share the joy with my fam. They loved it a lot too, I kinda think I should have bought 2 pints back now 🤪

The lady also gave us a mini scoop of sourdough hazelnut gelato be we only wanted 2 scoops but were choosing between 3 flavours. Thank you for the sweet gesture! There’s real sd bits in it so at first I felt the spongy parts were a bit strange, but I warmed up to it after having more! The hazelnut flavour is distinct but I thought could be more roasty, overall it’s surprisingly light for a nut flavour and not ridics sweet like nutella.

The puff was exceptionally good that day, very crisp but not as dry/crispy as baristart (I prefer this over baristart), and the pistachio cream was nutty and luscious yet still pretty light. Yum!
