Don’t get this if you’re looking for Chinese spinach (yin choy like the one from putien), the spinach used here is bo cai. Was a p decent veg dish, veg was fresh tasting and the sauce was reasonably tasty bc of the salted egg.

This was yummy!! The herbal sauce was soo good - herbal taste was strong but not medicinal, with a slight sweetness. Some of the skin was crisp but some were not, and duck meat was decently tender (but I’ve had more tender ones) devoid of any gamey taste.

This is a skipz. Meat was way too fatty, and too sweet. The roasty dark parts are the best part but definitely will never get this again.

Interesting dish w 2 types of horfun - the deep fried and the normal kind! Was good, we enjoyed it. Lala was v plump and sweet. I liked the deep-fried horfun soaked in sauce for a bit so that it's not dry, but still retains that crunch. Normal horfun was not bad, had some wokhei! Sauce was starchy but flavourful, had a nice seafoody 鲜甜 flavour from the lala. Veg was fresh and not overcooked! The only other place I've had deep-fried horfun was at enjoy eating house, and both this and enjoy’s versions were good.

Got this one on grabfood, so this is grab pricing. Salmon was quite decent, slightly overcooked but not too over such that it takes stringy. Liked that they left the skin on, and the glaze on the salmon was nice. Miso ginger sauce was delish - tangy (there is vinegar I believe) and savoury sweet and v asian tasting, with a mild heat from the ginger. Broccoli was not nice, and some were too hard. Peppers were raw so it’s quite crunchy, and naturally sweet. Pumpkin was super good, sooo soft and sweet and creamy. The half avo was nicely ripened and creamy too! Red & brown rice base was p decently done, each grain was separate, not mushy but not hard to eat either. Tried the portobello mushroom from the other box and it was v earthy and juicy! Wonderful meal, loved that it was healthy and filling and delicious 👍🏼

This was my first time eating epok epok and it was so good!! Loved the potato one (kentang) - thin crunchy
flaky crust encasing soft creamy potatoes in a fragrant curry, the curry was rly quite nice, the blend of spices used was right up my alley. Not too spicy so I could fully appreciate the flavours. Sardine one was nice too but a little too spicy for me. The onions gave a nice sweetness! My bf loves sardine puffs and he rly enjoyed this one.

A v good first try of epok epok! Also they were piping HOT when we ate it so it was extra shiok. Queue can be quite long sometimes but that's good because the constant demand = fresh epok epok, as they constantly make new batches.

Have previously reviewed the curry chicken, chap chye, and otah so I won’t be going into details, but all 3 were very enjoyable as usual. The omelette was nice and pretty homely tasting, with crunchy prawns in it. It’s decently sized too so it’s a great dish for sharing. Note to self to try the sweet and sour fish & ytf next time!

Slightly crisp on the outside, rather tender and easy to eat. The sauce could be tangier as I like sour stuff, but this is a p decent pork chop. I’ll skip this if I’m coming in a group of 2-3 (would rather order other items), but in a bigger group this is worth ordering!

We ordered this bc the menu didn't state that there will be cream (it only states bacon, egg yolk, and cheese), but it was clearly a cream carbonara, not the authentic type with creaminess stemming only from the egg yolk & cheese, sad. Was quite mediocre, even the bacon could have been of a better quality. Missing the super good carbonara from Casa Tartufo.

A pricey starter, but the portion was quite large unlike a typical starter. The dish is served chilled so it’s quite refreshing. Hokkaido scallops sashimi were fresh and sweet, pairing well with the bits of Japanese seaweed on top which gave a pleasant briny flavour. The truffle fragrance was distinct, and the thin angel hair pasta was smooth and slippery. A tad oily because they really did make sure that each strand is coated in white truffle oil. Overall thought it was quite nice, I don’t mind having it again, but it didn’t blow my mind.

Scone looks craggly, it’s not super buttery, also not floury but feels a bit plain. The texture is quite crumbly. Definitely needs the condiments. Edit: after 2 days (bought on sat, eating on mon), the scone tastes nicer! More 入味, good on its own. Extra nice when toasted in the oven.

The creme brûlée is so good? I didn’t know I liked creme brûlée bc it usually is quite sweet. This was sweet from the sea salt caramel, but not cloying, tasted quite light, and it was very smooth and had a nice pleasant vanilla fragrance (u can see the speckles of vanilla)! I really enjoyed this.

Blackcurrant compote was nice and curranty with whole currants inside, but the yuzu flavour was not present. It was tangy from the currants and not the yuzu.

Tldr: idm having these scones again, it’s not bad, and if I see the creme brûlée listed as the accompanying “sauce” I will definitely order!!

I love their avotoasts! It’s refreshing and tasty, and the main draw for me (even tho I like their brownies too). The original avo is nice, but less flavourful than the cashew pesto avo.

Original herbivore was topped with egg salad, juicy cherry tomatoes and furikake and a sprig of dill, light but flavourful. The smoked salmon was okay but didn’t make an impression; the otah was rather flavourful and there were some chunks which gave a nice bite, but I won’t reorder bc it was a tad too spicy for me.

The sourdough toast is probably not baked in-house, in fact it tastes quite similar to cedele’s loaves so maybe they get it from cedele? Anw it’s decent, tho not an impressive sourdough, but it gets the job done as a base for the generous portions of avo/otah on top.

Would rec to go for cashew pesto herbivore (it’s my fav combi so far) if you have a similar palate as me!
