Another one of the specialties from The Hideout at Pine Lane. Those who prefer their waffles fluffy and soft will like this; the moist waffle is pillowy and comes with a real light Buttermilk flavour which we thought could be stronger. Chocolate Hazelnut had some crispy bits and tasted similar to Ferrero Rocher.
New quiet cafe on the block at Mountbatten and it's open on Mondays! Got their RED VELVET LAVA CAKE with BUBBLE GUM GELATO and LATTE for $10.90 NETT! Feel it's really value for money! And the desserts are really decent! Coffee not so though in my opinion.
Lush ambience, as if you're on a treetop. All outdoor seating with cool fans and a great place for a night retreat.
The plain croissant is much nicer. Like the taste but not the texture. The iced mocha was good imo!!!
At $38, you get to indulge in an endless supply of sashimi (choose from salmon, tuna, yellowtail, swordfish and octopus) and (agemono, yakitori and more) items from the buffet a la carte menu. Desserts aren't included in the buffet but the refreshing yuzu and momo sherbet are great palate cleansers to round up your dinner!
Found this place through Burpple (thanks Xing Wei!). Just a few days old, this cafe hidden in a HDB estate is great for a lazy Sunday afternoon. I got the iced lime tea which is pretty unique and refreshing! It's also just a stone's throw from Bedok Reservoir, if you're looking to get away from urban Singapore for awhile.
Local MediaCorp artistes Felicia Chin and Sora Ma have teamed up to open their first joint F&B venture - The Mama Shop, in the Old Police Operational Headquarters. This retro-themed cafe situated amidst the tranquility of Pearl Hill Terrace provides a chill space for friends to catch up and reminisce over old-school Ipoh white coffee, local desserts, waffles and burgers. It is not the most accessible cafe, but for a quiet respite from the busy city (or maybe even a chance to meet these ladies in person), it may be worth the trip.
So what brings the trend of lobsters to food industries in Singapore to experiment the seafood culture at the next level when a decade ago it was overpriced and not many could afford. But today, restaurants are offering lobsters at such an affordable price where you can see lobsters appearing across the tables towards the four corners of the restaurant.
I just love how this dish is arbitely done with the aftertaste of the ingredients was simply amazing. It takes no effort to speak but it has shown the beauty of this innovation. Oh! Do remember to inform the staff regards about the level of spiciness as it turns out really spicy because of the XO Chili!
Do not hesitate to try this dish when you're @ A for Arbite, and I'm sure it will leave you with unforgettable experience.

Claypot rice cooked in an earthen pot, with ingredients including chicken, chinese sausages (lup cheong), waxed pork and bits of salted fish. The rice has characteristics of a good claypot rice -an aromatic, smoky flavour and crispy rice crusts at the bottom of the pot. Best to call before heading down as the waiting time for the claypot rice is 25 mins. We called & was served within 10-15mins.
Infused with Baileys for an extra taste factor, this was a delicious Creme Brûlée which would've been better with a slightly more even and caramelised shell. The vanilla ice cream is a good side to bring down the sweetness.
New cafe just popped up in Toa Payoh, featuring as the name suggests waffles! I have not tried the waffles yet. Just came by for my usual long black and catching up on my reading. The coffee is smooth, balanced and easy on the palate. Good quality.
