Mom said that when she collected the cheesecake and felt its weight (heavy), she knew that it would be a good cheesecake and she was right .. the cheesecake was creamy but not too heavy and the sweet jam complemented it really well. However I am used to cheesecakes with thicker crust base and this one seems realllllly thin? Oh well, perhaps to make space for more cheese? Anyway mom loved the cheesecake so much that she’s going to get the durian one for her birthday😅 I think the best cheesecake I have ever eaten is still from TCC!
My favourite choice of frog leg. Frog legs came in a bigger sized pot with a generous amount of herbal soup and goji berries. $16 for 3 legs
3 legs for $16. Great tasting thick gravy sauce. Most popular flavour.
Grilled chicken skewered with bell peppers. Perhaps should have chosen a different side dish (chargrilled veg - ie more bell peppers) but the chicken thigh was yummy and medium spiciness was just right.
Chicken breast wasn’t tough at all (as with most chicken breasts) and chargrilled veg was delicious. Chose the lemon and herb sauce because I am a loser and can’t tolerate spiciness. Portion size was just right in comparison to the huge ones in the UK.
Slightly spicy, fried rice mixed with kim Chi and seaweed .. love the koreans’ ingenious idea of heating the fried rice over a portable stove over the course of the meal to prevent it getting cold .. mix it with some gamjatang broth and it’s perfect.
Sugary coffee goodness with butter/cheese inside. Browned to perfection. My absolute favourite bread at only $1.50.
OMG. BEST. DISH. EVER. PRIOR TO THIS THE CLOSEST DISH I HAVE EVER EATEN WAS BAKUTEH BUT BAKUTEH DOESN’T EVEN CUT IT!!! THE BROTH LOOKS SPICY BUT ISNT AND MADE THE PORK RIBS TASTE SO SWEET I LOVE MY KOREAN COLLEAGUES FOR RECOMMENDING THIS DISH!!! THEY SAID IT WAS MUCH SWEETER THAN THE ONES THEY HAD IN KOREA BUT I THINK ITS FANTASTIC. A GREAT INTRODUCTION TO KOREAN FOOD NOOBS
Friend thinks it tasted disgusting as a combination. I thought it was great. Maybe I love coconut too much
I realised that the salad portions are bigger when you dine in than when you takeaway. Portion was big enough for a filling meal, ingredients were fresh and you can’t go wrong with soba noodles
Beef tripe stew - very similar texture to pig organ. Korean colleague felt it tasted okay. Interesting dish but I still prefer gamjatang!
Great first experience eating a korean bbq buffet. My favourites were the pork belly, japchae and ramyeon! However the fruits salad did not look fresh at all ..
