Pricey for a pretty tiny portion, there aren’t enough toast cubes so the dips are a bit excessive :( Taste-wise, the cubes are well-buttered and very crisp, but not particularly fluffy on the inside. The Pandan kaya is watered down and liquidy, but the taro kaya and the thai milk tea kaya are both quite good - the viscosity is thick enough to coat the toast cubes, and they aren’t too sweet. Go for the single dip!

The seabass was cooked to a tender finish and had a good flake, and the skin was crispy. I really liked the tom kha gai sauce, the notes of lemongrass and kaffir lime were really appetising, and it wasn’t too overpowering and punchy. The light but tasty sauce went well with the angel hair pasta, and the dish tasted very refined

Grew up with this oyster omelette so this always tastes like childhood to me!! I highly recommend it, I think that it’s a super well cooked omelette, crispy on the edges and really fluffy in the middle. Apparently this is done by pouring the eggs through a sieve? It’s also topped with sliced ginger to complement/counter the fishy-ness of the oysters.

Does this even need any introduction?? Or a review?? We all know yakun does kaya toast best - extra thin toast, extra generous butter, great kaya (just wish they could be more generous with the kaya)

I love burpple beyond!!!! This beautiful sous vide turkey sandwich is so worth it with the app!! And it’s huge so I ate it over 2 meals. The turkey is unbelievably tender and juicy and the bacon adds a flavour punch. Such a good sandwich I can’t stop raving about it.

Really wanted to like and support this place cause they’re always so empty but I’m sad to say that this wasn’t good :(

The set is comes with a soup + salad + sandwich + drink. The french onion soup and iced lemon tea were pretty standard, not good but not terrible. The salad was a few of leaves topped with a ready-made sauce squeeze from a tube. But the sandwich though - baguette that was likely to be frozen and thawed in the fridge (it wasn’t even reheated) and 2 slices of super dry roast beef. :( wish cafes would take more pride in the food they served!!

The set is SO worth it!! Only available at around 2pm onwards tho I think. The ondeh ondeh cake was not bad, though it was nothing special - the cake layers could be fluffier and more moist. And they offer gryphon tea!!

This was pretty good!! The sweet potato flavour is reminiscent of roasted, caramelised sweet potato. I don’t usually get sweet potato flavour stuff so I’m not sure if they usually taste like that - not savoury and pleasantly sweet. Overall a really balanced drink, the sweet potato goes well with the cashew nut milk.

Just had candlenut so I couldn’t help but compare. Folklore’s rendition was very generous with the buah keluak, but slightly lacking in the quintessential saltiness that defines the traditional buah keluak dish. Abit more eggy and garlicky than candlenut’s too.

BEST mjk EVER!!! The buttery molten peanut butter that they smother on the peanut mjk makes this AMAZING. When it’s freshly made, the insides are soft and almost melds together with the peanut butter. It’s good when it’s cooled too

My first time trying this legendary mochi donut and I LOVE IT!!! If u’re into mochi, there’s not much far wrong you can go with ordering this. Chewy and crisp and sweet 🤤 the flavour of the soft serve is not bad, tho I don’t feel like there was a distinct cream cracker taste.

I love thunder tea rice!! This is a good one, not outstanding or special but as with the other thunder tea rice I’ve tried in Singapore, it’s balanced and fresh and delicious. They have a ramen version too!
