These are what youโ€™d expect from a good croissant โ€” buttery, flakey and delicious, with the added bonus of sweet filling.
My favourite was definitely the ๐‘๐š๐ฌ๐ฉ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐‚๐ข๐ง๐ง๐š๐ฆ๐จ๐ง ๐‚๐ซ๐จ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐š๐ง๐ญ; the same delicious flaky pastry encasing a vibrant, tart and barely sweet raspberry filling. The ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐œ๐ก๐ข๐จ version was also delicious, but sadly doesnโ€™t taste much like pistachio. I really enjoyed it but I wish it had a stronger nutty flavour.
Although Iโ€™m not a fan of lemon, the ๐‹๐ž๐ฆ๐จ๐ง ๐‚๐ซ๐จ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐š๐ง๐ญ was surprisingly delightful, and not overwhelming in lemon flavour.

They are pretty small croissants at $8 for 2, but I think theyโ€™re interesting, and tasty enough to be worth a try!

The generosity of Rotiโ€™s fillings is definitely their strong point, with this ๐Ž๐ฉ๐ž๐ง ๐’๐ž๐ฌ๐š๐ฆ๐ž ๐๐ฎ๐ง ($๐Ÿ) serving as the perfect testament for that.

Despite the monstrous amount of filling, the black sesame wasnโ€™t too overpowering, BUT I would owe that to the fact that itโ€™s not very flavourful to begin with โ˜น๏ธ Tbh, the black sesame flavour just isnโ€™t very rich, taking a backseat to the buttery taste of the bun. The texture was also a bit sandy, even though it was a paste.

With that said, I would still say that this is a decent bun! I really love black sesame and for $1, yea, Iโ€™d get it again!

This ๐Ž๐ซ๐ก ๐๐ž๐ž ๐›๐ฎ๐ง ($๐Ÿ.๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ) from Roti might be the best yam bun Iโ€™ve tried in SG, and a very decently priced one at that!

The quality of the yam paste is definitely its strong point, it tastes exactly like a good, pure orh nee packed into a soft and chewy bun. The filling isnโ€™t the chunky type, but rather a completely smooth and creamy one, also not too sweet!

Hands down my favourite place for claypot rice! We got the large claypot ($36) intended for 5-6 persons, filled with generous amounts of tender chicken chunks, pork belly, lup cheong, salted fish and vegetables.
The ingredients were tossed in the most delicious and fragrant dark sauce, with the overall sweetness matched by a deep smokiness from being cooked over charcoal. We broke up and mixed in the layer of burnt rice at the bottom, adding a nice crispy touch.

The portion was definitely more than enough for the 5 of us, as we ordered sides too. The sides do get quite pricey, but my recommendation would be the Prawn Roll ($11.80), it was really to die for! I was blown away by the thin and crispy outer encasing the juicy meat filling. The sauce from the Tofu with Crab Meat ($18.80) was also a really great addition to the rice.

I donโ€™t even like sar poh fan that much but I love this place! If youโ€™re going, definitely preorder your claypot rice to save you the 30min+ waiting time!

The ๐ฉ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐œ๐ก๐ข๐จ ๐ ๐š๐ง๐š๐œ๐ก๐ž was hands down my favourite, the smooth and nutty filling was unmatched in flavour. The ๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž ๐›๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ž๐ž came in a close second, the creamy custard balanced out by the crunchy charred top.

I know a lot of people love the ๐๐&๐‰, but it was alright, the jam was really too sweet and tasted quite artificial. But PB&J is never a bad combo ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ. The ๐œ๐ก๐จ๐œ๐จ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐ซ๐จ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐ก๐š๐ณ๐ž๐ฅ๐ง๐ฎ๐ญ was decadent and rich, tasted like a better nutella haha. The ๐ฏ๐š๐ง๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š ๐ ๐ฅ๐š๐ณ๐ž๐ was nice, you can definitely get a good feel of the quality of their dough on this one.

Sadly, the ๐ญ๐š๐ซ๐จ ๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฆ was a miss. I love taro, and the filling by itself tasted really good quality. But the combination with the dough just didnโ€™t work for me.

The dough itself is quality! Perfectly soft and definitely on the chewier side, which I love. Theyโ€™re supposedly baked as well, glad that they werenโ€™t too oily! Also, I think they could do without the coating sugar on top tbh but theyโ€™re still really well balanced!

The perfect decadent and indulgent chocolate cake. The huge sticky chunks of prune mixed into the batter really brought out and elevated the chocolate. Surprisingly, even though the cake was so fudgy and thick, it didnโ€™t feel too jelak. It also tastes like they used different kinds of quality cocoa in this, that produced that depth in flavour.

Everyone recommended the brownie and itโ€™s definitely worth the rave!! The texture of this was really so amazingly and skilfully done. There was a bite to it, with something I can only describe as layers, of chocolate that melded together as you bit into it. The whole hazelnuts and almonds contrasted the gooey pockets of chocolate, accompanied by a pleasant element of flakey salt.
The only thing is that the almonds lost their crunch a little, but thatโ€™s just me being picky. This was definitely a favourite

Looks like a simple, unassuming tea cake, but of course this as well was amazing. This was so delicious, the lemon flavour with the encompassed in a light, moist and buttery cake, accompanied by the contrast of the small sesame seeds.

The quality of the beef and pork are decent considering the price and the amount. It came with a small side salad, ramen noodles , and the other ingredients in the pot include cabbage, some other leafy vegetable, and SO MUCH TAU GAY

The monstrous amount of tau gay made the whole broth taste like nothing... but tau gay ๐Ÿ˜”. Only after we topped up the soup nearer the end, did I get to taste the actual broth, and itโ€™s actually very tasty on itโ€™s own! But also because of of the amount of ingredients, mainly beansprouts, the soup took very very long to boil ๐Ÿฅด

Ok, to be fair itโ€™s interesting, and really isnโ€™t bad for the amount that they give you, but itโ€™s honestly just a novelty dish.

This ๐’๐š๐ค๐ฎ๐ซ๐š ๐‚๐ก๐จ๐œ๐จ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐“๐š๐ข๐ฒ๐š๐ค๐ข ($๐Ÿ.๐Ÿ•๐ŸŽ) is a flavour on limited offer, with a cherry (i think) & chocolate filling!

As someone who loved mochi, the texture definitely hit the spot for it was SOOO incredibly chewy ๐Ÿฅฐ I was lucky to get it fresh, so it was still warm, with a delightful slightly crisp outer surface. I also loved that the filling was substantial and evenly dispersed LOL. (Tbh itโ€™s my greatest pet peeve when itโ€™s uneven and you canโ€™t get filling in every bite)

A surprisingly mountainous portion of ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŽ) was packed into a tiny regular cup, its pretty swirls topped with 3 marshmallows skewered by a chocolate pocky!
At first bite, the sea salt flavour was a delightful mix of the creamy, milky base with a tinge of saltiness. But as we continued with a few more spoons, the cloying dessert left a sickly-sweet feeling in our throats.

The melon flavour was interesting, but again backed with a sharp and artificial tasting sweetness. When eaten together, the artificial flavour was muted slightly, but didnโ€™t do much to help the jelak-ness.

On a positive note, they really nailed the velvety soft serve texture, it was delightfully soft and creamy! Additionally, the portion size is pretty dang huge ๐Ÿ˜ณ, we shouldโ€™ve just shared, or taken the $3.80 tubs they were offering that were on a 1-for-1 promo!

The highly raved ๐”๐ฃ๐ข ๐Œ๐š๐ญ๐œ๐ก๐š ๐‚๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฆ & ๐‚๐ก๐จ๐œ๐จ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐๐ฎ๐ง ($๐Ÿ‘) undoubtedly lives up to the hype.
This screams good quality matcha, with a distinct bitter-sweet flavour profile, weighing heavier on the bitter side. Although almost all the elements were just matcha, there were still different nuances that thwarted a potential one-dimensional flavour; the contrasting textures and the smooth creaminess of the matcha filling complementing the crunchy matcha crumble on the top. The bread was airy, which was a good accompaniment to balance out the intense filling and toppings.

But, my biggest bread pet-peeve - the filling wasnโ€™t very evenly dispersed. ๐Ÿ˜” The chocolate sat in a corner, and I didnโ€™t even notice it was there until I nearer the end of the bread. For the parts that I could taste it, it went really well with the matcha!

This ๐•๐ž๐ ๐š๐ง๐ฅ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ($๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”) bowl ๐Ÿƒ tastes as vibrant as it looks! Sitting on neutral base of spinach and tri-coloured quinoa, the flavour of the individual ingredients really shone through!

I LOVED their beetroot hummus, a perfect amount of garlicky notes encompassed in a smooth creamy paste. An interesting ingredient was the vegan cashew cheese??? This was my first time trying it and it SO GOOD! The super strong and earthy notes of the โ€˜cheeseโ€™ lent a strong but good pop of flavour to the dish. The raw onions helped to cut through the strong flavours of the hummus and the cheese, with a hint of sweetness coming through in the form of dried cranberries and roasted carrots . The carrots were cooked sooo perfectly ๐Ÿคค lending a pleasant mellow sweetness.

For $16, itโ€™s in the rather pricier range of salad bowls, but itโ€™s a really filling portion! I think that their merit lies in the freshness of the ingredients, and the way theyโ€™ve managed to piece together flavours that complement each other so well!!

This ๐’๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ค๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ง ($๐Ÿ.๐Ÿ“๐ŸŽ) has the perfect pull-apart dough: a pillowy-soft yeasted bun that was fluffy, but yet so incredibly chewy and substantial. Itโ€™s slathered with a thick coat of sweet gooey cinnamon glaze and... omg Iโ€™m losing my mind over a sticky bun ๐Ÿ˜ญ
Itโ€™s sweet, as a sticky bun should be, without being too cloying, I could literally down 5 of these in one sitting. Also, amidst my excitement, I forgot I wanted to toast it but Iโ€™m sure they would be EVEN BETTER warm ok
