Their crust was buttery and crumbly. Crumbly crust was very common but theirs wasn't fragile. Unlike some tau Sar Piag, once bite the whole "world" started to fall apart. Definitely worth the visit and it costed less than S$1 each.

I love my soupy noodles but I'd have to say that the dry version of this beef noodles wins me over every single time. It's $4 for a small bowl of noodles and some delicious soup on the side. Would totally recommend as a lunch spot (if you get there in time before it gets sold out)

One of my favourite mood-lifters when on a budget: this ruby-coloured red tea jelly softly draped over shaved ice in evaporated milk.

I can only think of one other place that serve an equally good lemon curd tart (Windowsill in the Woods) which unfortunately is no longer around. The lemon curd of WY's tart is tangy, you could almost taste the freshness of the lemons. Love the texture, firm and yet moist. Perfect way to counter any jelatness, carbo-overdose effect!Life is good at Wheelers' Yard...

Till today , I have yet to eat a Carrot Cake as awesome as this one. It's so moist and the cream cheese just melts in your mouth. In addition, you get a generous amount of nuts for that crunchy texture. Head over here to try this guy out and let me know if you know someone that can beat this

Today, it was the noodle soup with sliced beef. The soupy version was much healthier and lighter in taste. I definitely preferred the dry as it was more robust, flavors are more pronounced, a denser and exhilarating finish on the palate.

The curry chicken gravy thick and creamy with little taste of curry powder but lacks fiery heat. Chicken was tender and moist. Goes in harmony with crispy baguette or hot steaming rice. If it was slightly spicier, I think I can have this every other week. But overall, an enjoyable fuss free meal.

Considering my love for the traditional lemon meringue pie, there's something more to this than pure light & refreshing. The tangy pineapple at the bottom adds slight acidity to the not-too-sweet meringue laying atop a crumbly warm base.
Considering I always have a love hate relationship with diabetic-inducing meringue at many places, this managed to steal my heart. It was also a well paired marriage with their vanilla icecream, music & great atmosphere, I wouldn't mind coming back just to have another round of desserts for dinner. Oh but good morning everyone! Today will be a good day 🙏🏻

Not usually a fan of dates in their original form, but how do you resist when they're encased in a warm pudding and topped off with vanilla ice cream?

Still one of my favouritest salted egg bao in Singapore. That sweet and salty milky custard that just oozes. ☺️ I love their spinach prawn dumpling as well.
