Long queues, solid cook, crispy on the outside, generous portions for a $3 plate. Possibly one of the best fried carrot cakes in Singapore.

For a chilly, rainy Good Friday afternoon.

Chanced upon this hidden gem while looking for November 8 Cafe. Opens til midnight, good and cosy with free wifi. Good for a quiet little hangout by night.

With set meals from $12 - $15, comes with main and drink, it's a pretty affordable and value for money place. Best of all, with good Thai food.

Experiencing a chill Saturday afternoon at the Starbucks 100th store at the Fullerton Waterboat House. Pretty refreshing concept and a great alternative to the hipster indie cafés these days.

Tried the sweet potato latte from the "social menu" on Burpple. Seems like a must-try secret menu at Cups N Canvas!

Back at Backstage Cafe for work-out-of-office Mondays. A pity the boss starts taping up all the power plugs, not a friendly move.

Newly opened Group Therapy Cafe Katong. Checked it out thanks to the new Burpple Cafes Guide. More mainstream and moving away from the hipsters crowd.
