Added on foie gras for $6. On the whole, a solid bowl. The truffle taste wasn't artificial or overwhelming, which is often my fear when ordering anything with truffle oil. The beef was very tender. Also loved the sauce, onsen egg and Japanese pickles. Foie gras was tasty but would have been perfect if seared a little more on the outside to get crisp edges.

Managed to snag the last cinnamon roll in the heat of the afternoon, perhaps to the dismay of the lady behind me. The bread was soft and fluffy, and the cinnamon sugar filling smooth and lightly sweet. Also loved the large sugar granules on top which provided a nice textural contrast against the fluffy bread swirls. A little pricey, but quite a treat.

The waffle was crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside, as all good waffles should be. We got the Nama Chocolate ice cream, which proved to be a wise choice with its rich chocolate flavour. Quite a clever flavour idea. Would get this again!

Came across this small Korean eatery at Plaza Singapura, which offers Korean fare at reasonable prices. Their seafood pancake was surprisingly good. Much thicker than usual, but with a satisfying crisp.

I think japchae can be pretty hit-or-miss. Sometimes it's too dry/tasteless/hard.
Their japchae was pretty good - meatless, but tasty, silky and served piping hot. Slightly oily, but I guess that's what helped it stay so supple even towards the end of the meal!

I have eaten these since I was young, and also at roadside carts during my previous trips to Korea, so these Korean fishcakes bring back special memories. I don't think many people would like this, but I'm obsessed with these chewy fishcakes in anchovy broth.

I'm a creature of habit so I always order the same dish at the same place. This time I decided to try something different and boy, was I glad I did! Their butter rice was light and fluffy, topped with a soft runny omelette and creamy beef stroganoff gravy.

Really soft - possibly the softest cinnamon roll I've ever had, with really light icing and juicy apple chunks. Yum!!

These were not bad after delivery, but super yummy when we cut the squares into smaller strips and panfried them again. Taste is yummy, but with crispy edges? A killer combination.

Haven't had good dimsum in so long, and was so pleased to discover that Swee Choon delivers islandwide for $5.
Love that they pack the sauce separately. The silky cheong fun skin clings onto the plump juicy prawns - a magical combination that slides so easily down the throat. A real treat.

I find their frosting slightly too sweet, yet at the same time, sinfully delicious. Like you just want to sneak a pinch of frosting with every bit of cake.
Pictured here (clockwise) are the salted caramel, strawberry shortcake, red velvet and chocolate hazelnut.
Salted caramel was buttery and salty - not my favourite flavour profile, but if you like salted caramel, this is for you.
Strawberry shortcake was a crowd pleaser - unassuming, with a light sponge, vanilla frosting and sweet strawberries.
Red velvet was a classic - red coloured chocolate cake base with vanilla frosting.
Chocolate hazelnut was adventurous, yet not too bizarre - a chocolate cake base, topped with a nutty milk chocolate frosting.
My top 2 from this array would be the strawberry shortcake and chocolate hazelnut.
