They were generous with the chunks of duckmeat and the tagliatelle was coated in a light sauce that made it easy to eat. However, I felt the sauce was missing something and could have been more flavourful. It was good but not GREAT.

I was really hesitant to order this because it does look unappealing and gimmicky. Thankfully, looks are deceiving and the beef jus had a very rich beefy flavour with hints of reduced red wine. I'm not a big fan of pappardelle though. Worth a try if you have @burpple to get 1-for-1!

This is their seasonal special. Layers of chocolate cream and chocolate sponge with a blueberry filling and macaron. I really liked this! The chocolate cream was so creamy and light - it almost had the texture of whipped cream. I didn't even realise it was chocolate at first because of how delicately airy it was. The blueberry compote was a little too tangy for my liking, but there wasn't much of it, and I was happy to resume gobbling up the rest of the cake.

I really liked their crabmeat pasta, which was both delicious and affordable. They very kindly changed the penne to linguine for me.

Their take on this campfire classic was delightful. A fluffy marshmallow layer, a cinnamon-y biscuit layer, and a layer of chocolate cream. I loved how well the bitter notes of cinnamon cut through the sweetness of the marshmallow and chocolate.

The description sounded rather simple: beef steak, an egg and pickled cucumbers served with Japanese rice, teriyaki sauce and furikake. But I was really impressed. They used regular ingredients to deliver a dish full of flavour and texture. Didn't see many reviews about the beef donburi but I highly recommend it.

I love black sesame, and couldn't resist trying it in cake form. While there was a tangible black sesame flavour, both the sponge and cake were quite light and airy. I would have liked for the cream to be denser and more like a black sesame paste. The biscuit-like crumble on top was yummy and added a nice contrast in texture.

I love a good seafood tofu stew. The one here was quite spicy, but hearty and chock full of ingredients. With silken tofu, egg, enoki mushroom, zucchini and assorted seafood, this is probably one of the more generous tofu stews in Singapore.

You can choose between beef and pork. The meatballs are served with a marinara tomato sauce, and consist of minced meat with various shredded vegetables like carrots and cabbage. I quite liked the veggies in the meatballs as they provided a nice crunch and natural sweetness.

Got their soup of the day, which was cream of pumpkin soup. The "cream" part was very prominent and the soup had the starchy texture of blended potatoes, while the pumpkin taste was quite faint. Having said that, I would probably order it again since it's just a dollar.
