I chose the "Garlic Dak Gangjeong". The chicken usually comes coated in the sticky sauce, but I asked for them to pack the sauce separately so that it would still be crispy after reaching our house.
The sauce has the appearance and consistency of sweet thai chilli sauce, but tastes like a garlic sauce - sweet, red sticky sauce with finely chopped garlic.
Love that it stayed crispy even though we ate it more than an hour after it was made.

One of my favourite dishes! It has everything - flavour, texture, colour and is fairly nutritious (a good way to incorporate veggies knto your diet)! I can honestly just eat this with fluffy plain rice.

This is half a chicken. I really like that their rice (not pictured) is fragrant without the usual oiliness. The light soy sauce for the chicken is also seasoned just right, and is tasty but not too salty. Prices and portions are very reasonable.

My recent favourite cake has been carrot cake. Was never a big fan, but somehow I've really come to like the textured carrot sponge coated in luscious cream cheese.
Slightly pricey, but in all fairness, it was a large slice with a very generous blanket of walnuts. My family loved it too! A little sweet indulgence during these times 😊

1st pic is cinnamon raisin, 2nd pic is plain. I think the plain one has the best texture in terms of fluffiness and chewiness. The raisins add a nice burst of flavour, although the cinnamon flavour could be more pronounced.

Although it's not very well known, I really quite like the bubble tea from Yocha. I got the Classic Milk Tea with Lychee Coconut Jelly. The nata de coco jelly has a really nice bite, without being overly chewy. The tea isn't too strong, and I love that it's very milky - just the way I like it.

So happy these turned out well. Experimented a little, and made 4 different flavours: plain, cranberry, black sesame and cinnamon raisin.

Was wondering what a "sor hei" was when I first saw the name of this pastry. Made of twisted plain and charcoal layers, the pastry dough is shaped to look like a hair bun.
I found that the pastry was unevenly buttery. Some parts really tasty and buttery, and some parts not. The chocolate chips were good. Overall, pretty good - if you get a buttery / chocolate chip piece. Otherwise, the plain pastry itself is just all right.
