Wheeler's Yard recently released their new menu about a month ago, which has infusions of both Japanese and Western cuisines. π΄
This has got to be the best dish of the day. On normal days I would only opt for chicken breast as a 'healthy' or 'simple/lazy' option (cause I'm lazy to pick out the bones); breast meat was never regarded as a 'tasty' part. However, this chicken breast dish wipes all those presumptions away. Done sous vide style, the chicken breast was firm and packed with flavour. It was also tender and succulent, and did not contain any of the 'dryness' that I would usually expect. The mash, burnt corn, and hazelnuts weren't just there for plating purposely but they created a plethora of textures - soft, wet, crunchy - accentuating the flavours of the chicken. "Not just a pretty face" indeed (Tan, 2016). If you've been here before, you gotta try the new menu; if you haven't been here before, this is definitely worth your first trip to the back-end of Balestier. -

Located within the Gold Class of Suntec's Golden Village, GV is offering a meal and an hour plus of sleep in the comfort of their theatres. Choose from an array of pastas, sandwiches and mains (featuring the Thai Grilled Chicken Thigh), with a drink included. Take back your own 'cooling eyepad' as well!
P.S. Suntec City has many poke stops so you could catch an array of Pokemon on the way there and back!

Very juicy, very tender, very flavorful. The duck was extremely well marinated, and had a deep umami-ish herbal flavor with each bite. Apparently it takes 1 day to prepare so let them know in advance! 2 Michelin stars for a reason man. -

Here's featuring the 2 pax set from W39 Bistro & Bakery, which has 2 sets of Bacon&Prawn Linguine, 2 Carrot Soups, and 2 choices of sides which includes drinks or cakes. -
The bacon slices in the linguine was extremely generous, with a decent ratio of meat and fat, packing the pasta full of flavour. It was accompanied by 2 very succulent, juicy, and fresh prawns which fell off its tail. The carrot soup tasted more like pumpkin and was very rich and tasty. Cake of the day was the salted caramel and red velvet cake which was reasonably sweet - a great way to end off the meal.

A fall from grace from what I had 2 years ago. The batter is much thicker and the salted egg less pronounced. Still, a good offering of "no sauce"salted egg sotong that has the salted egg fried in the batter. --
