Eating at The Salted Plum always leaves me full and satisfied. All time favourites are the fried mushrooms/potatoes, pork belly, pork chop, sausage patties and the sweet potato porridge ā¤ļø Their burnt chili chicken was not bad too. But I personally didn’t find their signature Lu Rou great. They’re also lacking in good vegetable sides - we’ve tried their cucumbers, salted vegetables and brussel sprouts dishes but they were kinda meh.

Every bowl we had was good! Black glutinous rice paste, peanut paste, egg drop with water chestnut, mango sago and watermelon honeydew sago. Appreciated that it wasn’t overly sweet and they had a lot of variety on the menu.

One of the better and more affordable yong tau foos around! We always go for their tomyam soup because it’s always consistently good. They also have spaghetti sauce, which I’ve never seen in other YTF restaurants before and will never have the courage to try šŸ˜‚

The strawberry ice dessert was not bad but the durian mousse is a durian lover’s dream. Sweet, pungent in the best way, and cold. Great on a hot day. Rock melon sago (not pictured) was okay.

One of my favourite dishes here. It’s sufficiently sour, savoury and sweet - good balance of flavours. They don’t skimp on the vinegar cause it’s quite sour which I appreciate, and that’s how it’s supposed to be!

Came here at 11.30am, and there was already a queue of 8 people in front of me. Not surprising, as this one got a Michelin bib gourmand. The queue moved fairly quick though. Try to avoid the lunch crowd, the queue is crazy long and you’d probably have to queue for 45 minutes to get a bowl.

I got the one with mixed ingredients, which contained beef balls, tripe and ribs. I liked how fresh the ingredients were and the ribs were fall off the bone tender! My only gripe is that the soup just wasn’t my cup of tea. It was way too herbal to the point it became a bit bitter.

Smoothie bowl of granola, coconut flakes, matcha, banana, spinach, avocado, mint, coconut milk and honey. Quite yummy!

Double open face roasts for $14. Pricey? Yes. Delicious? Also a yes! They know how to make simple food taste good.

Simple and healthy, but delicious! The sauce that came with it was a really good accompaniment as well.

Love the variety and flavour of the cupcakes, but the taste itself is nothing special in my opinion. The cupcake icing was icing sugar, which I felt was too sweet for me. And I’d expect the carrot cake cupcake to have cream cheese frosting, but lo and behold it was icing sugar, which was kinda disappointing.

Price of the food is quite expensive. Bolognese pasta was around $20+ but it was average. Having said all that, I really do like the cafe’s environment and playlist! They also sell interesting provisions which you may not find elsewhere, which is nice.

What used to be one of my preferred cafes to go to, is now a place where I had below average coffee. It was quite bitter, and not the kind that was pleasant. Tasted like the beans were overroasted, quite disappointed!
