Detoured to Springleaf while otw to flat viewing. Was in the mood for murtabak so ordered the small chicken murtabak while she had the portobello mozzerella. I must say that so far this is one of the better pratas that I have tasted in Sg ( Mr and Mrs Mohgan's is too far for me). Prata texture was crispy yet chewy at the same time. More imptly it was not too oily. Will be back to try their famed prata creations in the future.
My favourite postgym meal, full of protein and slathered with spicy peri peri sauce :)
Excellent banana cake, moist and packed with bananas. The caramel on top was not too sweet as well. Nice place to chill and people watch on a weekend :)
Was thinking twice to post this hidden gem at one north. Situated within the new Mediacorp building, this cafe serves up a delectable menu with reasonable prices. Had the Melba Burger and it did not disappoint. Sandwiched between sesame brioche buns were everything that a burger needs: juicy patty, melted swiss cheese, fresh veg (lettuce, pickled beetroot, pineapple and tomato). Option to add bacon/egg available. Will definitely come back again as sources tell me that their pizzas are good as well :)
One of my favourite dishes here at Artichoke. One mouthful is a full of different levels of texture and tastes, from crunchiness of the almonds & brussel sprouts to the sweetness of pomegranate pips.
Specially woke up early on Sunday and dragged my partner out of bed to try this famous bak chor mee. The last time I was there, I queued for 20 mins before I gave up as lunch time is just too short. When we reached (about 10.30am), there was already a queue though shorter and after 15 mins, we got our noodles. I ordered the $6 while she had the $5. The qq noodles were accompanied by meatballs, pork liver, minced meat, wantons, tender pork slices and a piece of fried fish. One of the more worth it bak chor mee around :)
Springy 'meatballs' (blend of yellowtail fish, pork and dongcai) from Redhill Block 85 stall to accompany my meepok for breakfast this morning :)
Surprised that the original shop closed down and what is left is at the corner of the building. Heard that the pizzas here are good so decided to give it a try. We ordered the Verve Special Pizza which had pepperoni, artichoke, onions, mushrooms, ham, chilli and topped with mozzarella cheese. Must say that it turned out to be a satisfying meal, the artichokes surprisingly went well with the pizza. Coupled with the view of Marina Bay, it was a lovely evening :)
Looking for a place to chill which is not too crowded on a Friday night, Dallas Restaurant at City Hall would be a good choice :) Ambience was rather classy and the price reasonable as well. Had the Deluxe Steak Burger, which was slices of ribeye steak, bacon, caramalised onions, tomato relish, aioli, swiss cheese and salad in between toasted buns. I think the only item missing is a fried egg. Nonetheless, it was delicious and every bite was a mini fireworks in the mouth. Comes with fries and cabbage slaw
One of the best korean lunch deals near my place. Best of all, it is also valid during weekends :) Prices range from SGD9.90 to SGD12.90. I chose the Dak Bulgogi and the portion was enormous! I like how the meat was not fatty and marinated thoroughly with jochujang sauce. Comes with 6 different side dishes, pumpkin appertiser, fruit and some plum like juice to end the meal.
Craving for kueh chap in the middle of the night? Head down to KPT at Bishan St 22 for a mouth watering meal of kueh chap. This stall opens from 8.30pm to 4am and one can choose from a variety of braised items (3 layer pork, intestine, egg, taukua etc). Pair it with the kueh and chilli, and i guarantee that your stomach will thank you.
