went to odette a while back and they really surprised us with the most luscious and innovative dishes! the whole experience was pretty extravagant & i thoroughly enjoyed every course~
we ordered a ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐น๐ผ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฃ๐ผ๐๐ฎ๐๐ผ ๆไธๅฐ็ ($10) and it was heavenly and so addictive. the sweet potato was glazed with caramelised sugar and look at that pullโฆ!
we ordered the jan/feb special ๐ฆ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฃ๐ผ๐๐ฎ๐๐ผ ๐ ๐ผ๐ป๐ ๐๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ ($8.80) and it was probably my favourite dessert. this was made from Okinawa purple sweet potato, filled with vegan creme, and had a buttery crust. for someone who isnโt really a fan of whipped cream, this cream tasted really light and not jelat at all! the mont blanc wasnโt overpoweringly sweet and the sweet potato paste was so creamy and delicious.
for mains, we ordered the ๐ข๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ต๐ถ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ฒ ($29), a beef raju pasta that tasted so rich the pasta was cooked al dente. it was garnished with some parmesan and parsley. loved this!
visited the famous Gokuku bakery and tried the ๐๐ผ๐ธ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ผ ๐ฃ๐๐บ๐ฝ๐ธ๐ถ๐ป ๐ ๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ป ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ป ($2.30) this generously-filled bun was coated with a crunchy and sugary layer and stuffed with a smooth and thick pumpkin filling. this was personally my favourite!
we tried the ๐๐๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐บ๐ฝ๐ธ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ป๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ต๐ถ ($28), a dense gnocchi paired with buttery pumpkins, and topped with parmigiano and an assortment of toasted nuts. while the gnocchi alone had a very mild and subtle taste, the pumpkin really amplified the flavour of the dish. the serving size was deceptively small too, but was actually extra filling. if youโre someone who likes chewy-textured food, i would suggest you give this a try!
