Matcha Toast $12.90, topped with a scoop of matcha gelato and azuki at the side. Toast was buttery but a tad too sweet to me, seems like sugar was added within the toast because we could feel the crunch in every bite. Matcha ice cream was light & bland otherwise it would make a good toast. ππ΅ Anyway having the real deal tmr in bkk!
Uber and GrabCar has been a kick ass transport for us throughout this trip ππΌ. CODE is a rather cosy and pretty dessert cafe to chill, serving bingsu, cakes, crossiants and lava toasts. In frame is the Thai Tea Lava Toast (175 baht/ $6.80). Toast was kinda bland, thought it would be better with a little butter within. Otherwise, the Thai tea lava was pretty good. #codedessert *there's the other outlet at Siam paragon! #mychefstable
The Ponzu Soya Cod $35.90 was one of the best among the rest of the funky fusion dishes, that I find them lacking with flavours hopelessly jumbled. β’
On the other hand, the Cod Fillet was succulent, paired well with ponzu and sesame soya glaze. The skin is also charred to a slight crispy cracking which I find it enjoyable. π
(Any 2 for $9.80)
In frame is the Kung Pao Fried Chicken, Braised Pork Belly and Panko-crusted Portobello. I personally like the nicely fried portobello alongside w the fluffy steam bao. Other options were the Salted egg yolk prawn and Portuguese pork chop.

Earl Grey Caramel Waffle $12, this crisp and dense waffle is drizzle with earl grey caramel sauce and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and strawberries. Pretty good. π
Army stew $38.80 which is more than enough for the 3 of us. π» #gumgangwon
Besides the usual chilli crab bao, Liu sha bao, siew Mai and Har gao from SMH, we also tried the healthier choice of Loh Mai Kai - Supreme Loh Mai Kai w Purple Rice. This is SMH's interpretation of this beloved dish which is made of purple rice, chicken, chestnut and mushroom.
With 2 servings in 1 packet ($3.60/packet) the all new Lou Mai Kai w purple rice is available at all FairPrice stores across Singapore.
This pretty dessert, The Cat In Paradise $18.50 features a refreshing mango mousse with almond crumble, berry compote, marshmallow sauce and hazelnut gelato. It was light on the palette with a hint of citrus. π° #hellokittycafesg
