Ordered the signature wagyu don and mentaiko salmon don. Both were flavorful and delicious! The salmon slices were very tender too. Definitely a worthy deal as it is only 2 for $25!

It's a short walk from Botanics Garden MRT to find Elixir Boutique Roasters.

We used the Burpple 1-for-1 deal and we both got The Breakfast Works ($27), and an iced mocha to share.

The plate was filled with all kind of good food but both of us couldn't finish our share 🥲 I liked the scrambled eggs that were so soft and the sweet crispy bacon! I will pile a spoon of egg onto the brioche, along with some bacon and take a big bite with a satisfying crunch 🤤

One downside would be that the food is on the oily side so do consider ordering a drink to reduce the "oily feels".

We ordered the steamed and roasted chicken as well as the pumpkin porridge in different flavours. Side dishes include sambal stingray, satay and kou rou (braised pork belly?).

The stingray had a thick layer of flesh which is really worth it, and good news to people who can't take spicy - the sambal is pretty mild 😂

The satay came with a unique pineapple sauce and the usual peanut sauce. The pineapple sauce had a tinge of spiciness 🌶 I preferred the peanut sauce more.

I would recommend trying the pumpkin porridge > chicken rice for something special! 👍

Used the 1-for-1 deal on Burpple and both YW and I got the aburi scallop salmon don ($17). The bowl looked small but had a generous serving of scallops and salmon 💯 They also tasted fresh (but be careful of bones). The rice was special too (with a slight ginger taste?). I easily wiped out the whole bowl and was very satisfied with the meal 😌

Fyi that it's possible to top up $2 for miso soup and edamame.

Flavourful and juicy burgers can be found here 😍 and to make the deal even better, these can be enjoyed 1-for-1 with Burpple!

YW got The Armoury Burger and I got the Swiss Mushroom Burger. Both came with double wagyu patty and woah, the flavour and meat texture were simply amazing! To quote YW, he likes the burger and thinks it's one of the best that we have ever eaten in SG because he can taste the meat.

We both topped up $2 and upgraded our fries to onion ring and sweet potato fries. Personally I enjoyed the sweet potato fries more. Most important factor being that it wasn't soggy and oily. Secondly, I could taste the sweet potato. Lastly, it remained delicious even after I finished my burger.

The only downside of our experience here was that we waited for nearly an hour before the food was served. So make sure to head down to the restaurant before the dinner crowd comes!

Tip: if you are afraid of lizards, do consider making reservation for indoor seats instead 😉 a baby lizard crawled onto YW and we were seated near the walls

Initially wanted to use my Burpple Beyond here but was told that it can't be used because it's PH eve. Oops I should have checked properly 🙈

But YW and I decided to try it out anyway and... I can't wait to go back again and use the 1-for-1 deal! The food was yummy 👍

He ordered the Black Port Lamb Shank ($28) while I got the Wild Mushroom Risotto ($22). And we also got the Calamari Rings to share ($12). Didn't get any alcohol but thought that their cocktails looked pretty good!

I generally try not to eat mutton but I stole a tiny bite of his lamb shank and wow it was so tender and flavorful! The meat easily came off the bone and I liked the special dark sauce that goes with the meat.

As for my risotto, this is one of the rare times I try risotto (cravings 🤭) so I can't really compare, but I liked it! There were different kinds of mushrooms and I love how they kind of make each bite taste different. And the soft, chewy texture of mushroom went so well with the al dente risotto rice.

Lastly, the calamari. It leans more towards the chewy side (as compared to the soft ones) *without* the annoying uncheweable, choking hazard parts (if you know what I'm referring to). Shout out to the unique breaded batter that was not too thick and complement the squid taste and texture perfectly.

Looking forward to using my 1-for-1 deal during my next visit 😚

There were so many options to choose from but we both went for the Grilled Salmon Fillet with Tomato Salsa ($28) and used the 1-for-1 deal.

The salmon fillet was well-cooked with flaky flesh that was not dry at all and tasted fresh! I also liked the accompanying brocoli, baby potato and mushroom 😚 They went well with the salmon and I liked how soft and sweet the brocoli was!

Super worth the price!
