Anmitsu Parfait - $11.80

Trying out Baristart’s latest parfait creation, which is loaded with fruits and mochi. There’s also my favourite Hokkaido BIEI Jersey milk soft serve in the middle! Drizzle the sweet sweet brown sugar syrup sparingly to your preferred sweetness. Instantly feeling the shiokness, especially during a hot day. This is a limited period item, available till 31 Jan 2022 only, so be quick

Chazuke - $12
·
Chazuke is rice bowl dish where you pour hot soup or tea in, for the soupy experience. This bowl may be small but there’s 6 slices of Wagyu beef placed on top of the rice! Look so beautiful and fatty. When pouring in the hot soup, it partial cooked the meat, and it kinda melts in my mouth. Yakiniku don don being a popular Japanese BBQ place, how can I not promote their ox tongue! The ox tongue with spring onion ($22) have a slight chewy texture but so yummy when grilled. Overall a shiok shiok makan session

Hidden at level 2 shop house along Tanjong Pagar road, small cozy cafe. They offer special gelato flavours, better together with their crispy airy waffles! Do order their popular beverage: Orange Osmanthus Cloud ($8), which has a mild flowery citrusy taste, so pleasant. Great place to sit down relax and chit chat over the desserts

Tea Time Set
1837 - $20
·
Set comes with choice of muffins / scones / a Pâtisserie + hot or iced tea. I chose their festive cake, which is a dark chocolate log cake, with pear purée in middle. Bitter sweet cake with a hint of spice. I chosen the Fruit Mountain Tea (T6048), which is fruity and sweet, with a slight acidic aftertaste. Pleasant start of 2022

Nu Er Hong Hotpot and Grill, is located along Tanjong Pagar road, where numerous Korea restaurants are located. They offer wide range of seafood and meat, over 80 varieties, suitable for both hotpot and grill. I love their tomato soup base, which is on the sweeter side. Baileys Chocolate Log Cake - $12
·
Get festive at Queic by ordering their chocolate log cake. Dense log cake with Baileys and hazelnut flavours hidden within. The slice of log cake was arranged to look like a log house, with a cute little meringue at the front pretending to be a snowman. Super cute I must say. Their specialty is the Olivia Burnt Cheesecake ($15), which has thick cheese lava in the middle when cut open. Gosh so good, no wonder many ppl bought whole cakes from the shop despite the steeper price tag

Iberiko Buta Don - $28
Kinoko Don - $24
Kaki Don - $36
·
Iberiko buta don has grilled Iberiko pork jowl placed beautifully on top of the rice, flavourful and easy to bite. Who can resist bbq meat anyway. Kinoko don in short is the mushroom rice bowl, with mixture of mushrooms, onsen egg at the top and topped with seaweed for the extra texture. Kaki don is more unique, it comes with sous-vide Hiroshima oysters and pacific clams! Definitely the more premium pick. My favourite item is their Saba Age ($12)! For someone who don’t really like saba fish, that thin crispy coating is such a joy, together with spicy sesame sauce it is so addictive!
