Pork Chop + Chips + Mushrooms - $13
·
Tucked away from the bustling street, Colbar retains the old school deco, even orders were written on a notebook by cashier. Rare sight in the modern city. I had the pork chop, picked the option that comes with chips (wedges) and mushrooms (+sauce). Pork chop was tender but not oily. Sauce was abit salty, so dip sparingly. Pleasant casual dining experience there

Teochew Braised Sliced Duck - $8
·
Swatow Seafood Restaurant (Toa Payoh outlet) is offering traditional Teochew Braised Sliced Duck for $8 per portion to celebrate their 11th anniversary (till 30 Sep)! Duck is braised in their unique sauce for long hours, giving the tender & flavourful meat. Braised duck is savoury, so it’s best paired with porridge. I tried their Teochew Mini Crispy Orh Nee Mooncake as well. It’s crisp on the outside, less sugar less sinful on the inside. Great for sharing

A hidden treasure of TWG! My first time indulging their ice cream options and it was great! I had the Singapore Breakfast Tea, Bain De Roses Tea & French Earl Grey flavours. All are such a delight, especially the Singapore Breakfast Tea flavour. Paired with a fruity oolong tea (T6114 Golden Swan Tea) for a great ending. Enjoyable afternoon tea as always
