Our 3rd visit to Masizzim but first time to their new outlet at Westgate. Service was thumb up and food was good. Stews are highly recommended (despite it being oily, but thats what made them yummy). We had both spicy beef ribs (lvl 1) and soy pork ribs, with both rice bowls 'upgraded', one to the anchovies rice ball (much preferred, not just the fun of mixing your own rice ball, but the well balance of flavours) and the other to the kimchi fried rice. Leek & squid pancake was average, leaving a thick oil layer on the baking sheet. $78 for 3pax, reasonable.

The full slab portion was much more satisfying this time than our previous visits. The ribs were really well marinated (peppercorn infused), peppery but not too spicy. I like this the most comparing to their signature Hickory and Garlic BBQ. (I prefer less on the sweet side) Off the bone tender and barbecued to the right smokiness level. So much to come back for! The popcorn pork didn't meet the standard though.. lacking crispiness on the outside vs. how i expected it to be similar to KFC's popcorn chicken, but no explain on the juiciness when you chew into each bites!
$65 for this meal is a great end to my Sunday 😋
Next on the list - Asian spicy flavour. Hope it won't disappoint!

Exceptional good service. The chicken wings were served slightly undercooked, both the waiter and lady manager expressed apology and recooked a new serving for us, with smile. The ribs were awesome! We had the Naughty Sticky Bones - full slab. Slight sourness from squeezing the lime, caramelised sweetness from BBQ sauce and a little spicy note from the dipping sauce. Super combi! Downloaded their app for a 20RM discount. This meal costs 1/2 of what we paid in SG. Location is convenient too, walkable distance from the over-populated City Square.

2nd cheat meal of the week at the long awaited chic-a-boo. The hot and spicy chicken was sooo well marinated i thought i would even choose it over KFC. I guess its the hint of spiciness that's lacking in KFC marination. We were sooooo ganchiong to have our first bites cause it looked so crispy and yummy that we got no time and hands to capture the moment 🤤 anyway here's a AFTER photo with pieces of chicken skin we managed to forego... it was tough decision though... 🤔

Hidden spot at Jalan Kayu with cozy country atmosphere and the owner must be a true aeroplane fan to create such old school layout. Do challenge their buffalo wings at different levels of spiciness. We were humble enough to go for the Level 2, it was more of sweet-bbq than smokey-bbq type. Spiciness at level 2 was very mild. We also ordered the oxtail stew (tender oxtail cooked in peppery base), seafood platter (deep fried dory, prawn, calamari, potato wedges and coleslaw), beef brisket and pulled pork combo (both meat were rather dry and bland) and potato skin (generously loading with cheese but lacking the bacon factor). Total we spent $128 for these 3 mains and 2 sides.

Didn't expect much from a local Italian restaurant but it ended up to be one of the best lamb shank I have eaten so far. Slow cooked to its best off-bone tenderness and even the carrots were infused with strong shanky aroma.

Unique JB way of serving dim sum. Different varieties were steamed within the same giant bamboo basket. My personally favourite would be the chee chong fan and da pau! The chee chong fan was so good we ordered a second plate. The rice roll was not too thick, gravy rightfully complements the main character here, not being overpowering in taste and texture. Finally topped with spring onion and flakes of dried meat. MIST ORDER!

I have only tried peking duck a few times, and this is definitely not the best. Sweet sauce was overpowering and duck skin could be crispier.

Must be one of the best we have tried. Even the gravy and stewed carrot were heavily infused with lamb taste. The meat was tender and flavorful. Definitely worth our ordering again! We might be back again just for this!! 40.99ringgit is surely steal

Our 3rd time visiting this restaurant near AEON bukit indah. This was our 2nd attempt for this double patties beef burger, and it was a bit disappointing as we were expecting a much juicier bite. The portion of thick cut fries was generous though. Worth ordering at 34.99ringgit.

Decided to balance the table which was full of pork knuckle and sausages with a vegetarian friendly pizza - spinach fladen. The fladen tasted rather healthy with no extra drips of oil, crust was on the thin and hard side. It was abit cold when served so the cheese was hardened.

Definitely not a 'pizza-would-never-go-wrong' dish.

The sausage platter was served with at least 6 different types of german sausages, all tasted uniquely different. But still, not good enough to be fighting with their crispy oven roasted pork knuckle which we ate on 2 consecutive Saturdays. Tip: you are able to change the default side to any of your choice, recommend to go for their seasoned wedges, super duper good!!
