For the chilli fans — This is one super spicy bowl of pasta… so those that can't take too much spice should let them know to hold back a little. Apart from the extreme spiciness, the pasta was flavourful and super garlicky with fresh prawns and scallops (my weakness). Definitely a dish I'd go back for again. Plus Benjamin Browns is tucked away in Forum Shopping Centre. A good place to get away from the Orchard hustle and bustle.

Thick, tender, melt-in-your-mouth slices of charcoal-grilled Wagyu sit neatly fanned out on a bed of Japanese rice dashed with truffle oil and shoyu, accompanied by a perfect onsen tamago and shiro negi. The Fat Cow Donburi is no stranger to most, taking the spotlight on the restaurant's set lunch menu. Priced at $39, each bowl is served with salad, miso soup, chawanmushi and dessert. Portions aren't huge for its price tag, but when you see those glistening slices of wonderfully marbled Wagyu in front of you, dip them into the liquid golden yolk, and let its flavour dance on your tongue — you'll ache with satisfaction.

It's not everyday you get to grab a seat at Teppei! Before I stepped in, a handwritten sign showed that they were fully booked till end of June 2015! That meant you gotta book at least 2 months in advance to get a seat! This pretty much shows how popular this little joint is! Connected to Hana Hana, Teppei serves up an amazing Bara Chirashi (S$18.90) with fresh & succulent chunks of sashimi! You could top it up to make it a meal too with miso soup, a few skewers & sides! We were fortunate (I suppose) as the chef decided to give us a little "jumping" treat before we started our meal! No prizes if you guessed it right, but it definitely made the experience even more interesting!

Heaps of well seasoned sashimi thickly cut! One may agrue that seasoning might have overwhelmed the sashimi taste. But I still can taste the freshness and texture. Value for money, I will be returning to this place again!

Dolce Tokyo has such decent food! Would usually order the creamy tomato pasta with slabs of smoked salmon but decided to take a chance and be adventurous. This is the Essential British - mashed potatoes, German sausages, toast with cheddar cheese and scrambled eggs 👍🏻

Kinda disappointed that the menu didn't offer appetizers or finger food :( They had mostly brunch items so I had to order an extra truffle potato wedges from CRUST to keep my fingers busy. A great place for a catch up - considering how I could sit there for close to three hours!

Fresh plate of sashimi just enough for two!

Such great food + super duper fresh mackerel + sashimi!!!!!

Seared salmon with pollock roe (aka MENTAIKO) is way better than Itacho's. One plate for $2.80 is really worth it 😛Can never get enough of it.

A little late for lunch but I was playing with my handstands. Heh. Here's some yummy lobster roll from The Naked Finn. Those buns are to die for. I just need a little salt. Post up on www.ms-skinnyfat.com!

I viewed beef sashimi with the same trepidation as I did chicken sashimi whilst I was in Tokyo, but despite its intimidating “I’m primal, manly and gym at Virgin Active” appearance the Hida wagyu sashimi turned out to be relatively approachable, tasting like soft tuna sashimi at the start but revealing a slightly tender and raw side as your teeth gnashes and grinds. The scallop was a delight, really soaking up the lime as if the lime was the Infinity Pool and the scallop a pan-Asian bikini beauty, while the fresh seaweed provided a crunchy, refreshing change from the tired choice of radish for plate gardening.
