Comfort food to the max. The broth was not too salty and hot. Shredded chicken and springy noodle. If you see no Q, please give them a try. .

This burger (American burger) had a very beefy patty and most of the moisture was provide by the tomato and pickles. Just the right thickness for me as my jaw was β€œshag” out after chewing my way through. Instead of the regular ketchup, they provided garlic mayo for the fries. .

For $24+, I had 180g of lean beef, rice, salad, miso soup and green tea. The cook used the back of knife to tenderize the meat then pan fried with large amount of onion. Seasoned with soy sauce. Simple and comforting flavors. .
|
I found their skewers average as I prefer my be salt grilled. If you have the time, do give their charcoal grill a try. .
|
**DONT TRY THEIR CURRY RICE. Scary bad. =_=

Beef tartar with a twist. Diced up US prime beef, mustard, soy sauce, egg yolk, truffle and missing wasabi. The egg yolk bond all the flavors together and smoothen out the texture. Good way to replace the biscuit or cracker with lettuce for a healthier choice. Refreshing and packed with taste. .

Sumo Ramen ($23)

A little too oily for me as the cook didn’t skin off the surface before scooping the soup. The mouth watering braised beef was the center of all thing delicious. A very comforting ramen and definitely worth the price. .

The char siu was too sweet for me. Missing an tanginess to balance the fatty char siu. But it is an interesting concept.

Thin sliced of roasted beef topped with white sauce, onsen egg and truffle (the truffle no longer available). Overall experience the texture was good , fulfilling but missing the usual beefiness. It's gravy was dripped on the rice before placing the beef.
The saddest part of this bowl was the salad leaf. Part of it was spoilt and wasn't notice.

Among all the sushi, my favorite would be the shiitake mushroom sushi. It's earthiness create an strong contrast. To put the perfect ending to our delicious Omakase sushi, a fish fin miso soup was served. .
|
Timing, ingredients and tone of the flavors were perfect. Such enjoyable meal!

Don't say I bojio. My favorite place for Omakase which wouldn't burnt a hole in the wallet. .

Jack mackerel, Flounder, Golden eye bream, Scorpion fish, Pacific sanma and Sardine (These are all the fish I can remember 😬) .
|
Refreshing start with sprinkle of lime skin. The fish with "thicker" skin was torched to bring out the sweetness. The chef chose stronger methods to present the fish to pair with our shochu.

Excellent dessert! Beautiful on the sight and light on the palate. Just the right sweetness with fruity sourness.

Roasted pork rack and
Braised veal ossobuco .

If I could only have one dish from their menu, it will be their risotto. Super creamy. Right texture. The veal was tender and its sauce cling onto the risotto so nicely.

The "bread" you see was made with grinned nuts which they used the "milk" of the nuts for other dishes. .

Pretty good taste. Maybe because of the low light condition, their food looked much better than these.

"Curry" Chicken, achari and ikan with peanut. Everything was made in house. Each component of the dish was super charged with flavors. The food was good but need to be more "refine". .

The better ones in town. The prawns were fished out from the tank minutes ago before ended here. Clams with minced garlic were not my ideal way of enjoying them. .

For those who love stronger flavors steamed meat, this will be your kind of restaurant. After all it done, they offered spring onion, fried shallots and egg to the Porridge. What a fantastic way to finish off. Too bad I didn't stay all the way till end to witness the moment when rice turned into Porridge. .

For those who afraid that they would over steam their food, the kind service crew was always around to set the timer for you. 😊
