This wasn't a good experience. It was a public holiday(Malaysia Day) and the staff seemed inattentive and sat us in a secluded corner of the restaurant. We ordered our food and it took one of them more than 30 minutes to arrive! My mother ordered their pasta which cost RM25+ but was super small and she finished it quickly. My brother took the tom yam noodles which were okay. My pad thai(shown here) was mediocre at best and had sticky noodles which clumped together. My dad's dish was a fried rice and it took very long to come out. It was okay but not remarkable. The prices are sky high here yet the food portions are pitiably small and the ingredients aren't even premium. Perhaps their more expensive items are more worth coming here for but I would advise going somewhere else for chic thai food that truly satisfies you. 4/10 would not recommend even though food is edible here.

I heard rave reviews about Putien's Fried Heng Hwa Bee hoon from my mom's friends and we went over to Putien to try it for ourselves. The verdict? The meehoon was totally unique and delicious as it is hand milled in the region of Putian itself and sundried leaving us with a fine textured meehoon that doesn't clump or leave an overly starchy taste in our mouths. Every bite is infused with the umami flavour of dried shrimps, mushrooms and fried shallots and there are vegetables, tofu and peanuts scattered throughout to give it extra bite. The only caveat to this is that the meehoon served was too small a portion for one person(we bought size small each) and that the seafood offered is quite little and unimpressive. There were only 2-3 small prawns and 2 tiny lalas for one portion and our meehoons disappeared from our plate pretty quickly. 8/10 I would recommend this as a multiportion side dish to share to a communal meal where rice is also being eaten as Putien has a lot of delicious-looking communal dishes to be enjoyed as well. Price for small is RM18.90. Price for medium is RM29.90.

Mcdonald's Malaysia Durian Mcflurry review. I was immensely lucky to get the Durian Mcflurry the day before it was announced as out of stock nationwide. I got a generous amount of Durian syrup and it was pretty pungent but it was tolerable. The smell and taste of D24 was strong and sweet and I savoured every bite. Well then, I recommend you get this before it sells out next year then!

The taste is amazing with a juicy tender fried chicken thigh, fresh vegetables and a spicy sauce. The bun was soft and tasty. The only caveat is that the burger is very small so maybe the food development team can see what they can do with that next year. I love Lat's artwork on the box though. His cartoons are very nostalgic and take me back to earlier days.

Banana toffee and tiramisu. Their banana toffee was awesome with the fresh bananas and the digestive biscuit base while their tiramisu was okay with a consistent strong nutty coffee taste throughout. 👌 It's around RM7-8 per slice of cake.

The banchan were only so-so and the kimchi was okay. The dakgalbi was tasty and the portion is reasonably sized. The soup was okay. 7/10 would only recommend if you are shopping at Atria and are craving for Korean food but otherwise don't put in the extra effort to come here.

Located at the same place occupied by the already-closed Mister Donut in the Aeon Supermarket, this laksa joint from Johor Bahru brings it's tasty and super affordable offerings to the palates of PJ citizens. Prices are simple and in the single digits for each item. RM6 for a bowl of laksa, RM5 for a bowl of fruit rojak and RM4 for a bowl of 5 laksa fishballs. The laksa was very delicious, with a tangy fresh broth infused with plenty of fish chunks and tamarind. Unlike pasar malam asam laksa stalls, this store doesn't skimp on the chewy noodles, with every bite containing plenty of chewy noodly goodness. There aren't as many vegetables though which is quite admirable since other stalls tend to skimp on noodles only to compensate with more veggies while this does the opposite. The fruit rojak was super fresh, with crisp fruit and veggies paired with sweet and fragrant hae ko. The store is quite generous with the fishballs as there are 5 in a bowl and they are steeped in delicious laksa broth. They have an offer right now where you can buy 2 laksa bowls, 1 rojak and 1 fishball bowl for RM19.90. Perfect for a date for two! 9/10 I would definitely recommend this if you're craving for some good cheap laksa.

If coming in a group, Kayu's roti tisu is definitely a must-have to impress your friends or family. And it tastes pretty darn good too.

The burger's presentation leaves a lot to be desired but it's rather big I have to admit. The burger's taste though was really amazing and I didn't anticipate it to be this good. The burger patty was beefy and tender with the authentic fragrance of bulgogi. It felt like I was eating at a genuine Korean BBQ joint. The vegetables added crunch and the cheese was a delicious addition. The sauce added a creamy kick to the burger. The burger is mildly spicy at first but it gives a really spicy sensation lingering in your mouth afterwards so I recommend switching the coke in this combo to a Frozen Fanta Grape or Frozen Coke as is advertised at no extra surcharge. The chips were crunchy and quite addictive while the Frozen Fanta was perfect to wash it all down. The entire set is RM16. I would definitely recommend you try this before this promotion ends!

It's rather small which I have to admit makes it rather hard to move around and to stabilise in your hands but it is rather pretty. The sorbet was delicious with the fresh taste of watermelon and a sweetness that was just right-not too overpowering nor too diluted. The cone-taco shell hybrid is admittedly tasty, but I only wished it was bigger. The soft serve melted rather quickly even in an air-conditioned mall environment so there wasn't enough time to take many shots of the dessert. 6/10 would recommend it only if you can't make it to a Dominique Ansel and have a desperate craving for a miniature replica. I would much rather you eat the Unicorn Poop item on their menu instead of this. Cost was RM13.00.

Do not come here when the restaurant has just opened at 12pm because they will not have finished cooking the chicken thighs for the nasi lemak burger by then. I recommend coming here after 1pm. The burger looked suspiciously small at first but most surprisingly it was big on taste and super filling. The pandan coconut rice 'bun' was soft and fragrant and I enjoyed putting sambal and the nuts and anchovy mix they gave to the side onto the 'bun'. The fried egg was tasty and the chicken thigh was absolutely heavenly. It was thick and juicy and I couldn't stop biting at it. There were also cucumber and tomato slices as well as lettuce in the burger together with sambal and more anchovies and sambal which gave it a spicy crunch. The burger is wrapped partially with seaweed to echo the restaurant's Japanese fusion vibes. The whole thing is only RM12.90 which is much cheaper than their other sushi burgers which can cost up to RM18. Atmosphere here was okay with attentive servers and it was quite empty on Sunday noon. 9/10 would definitely recommend a try before it goes away by the end of this August!
