Ordered the 怪椒味 aka the spiciest flavor of the frog pot. The frogs are fried before cooking on the hotplates of your choice of flavour. So always rmb to submerge them a little more before eating. Been eating here from Chinatown and then now going to their newer outlet at Bugis Cube. There's discounted reservations using Eatigo.

Yes! You’re seeing it correctly! It’s cheese dumplings🤩! Super unique! A bite of these dumplings will fill your mouth with mild cheese flavor. Definitely a must-try for those who are adventurous and of course, CHEESE LOVERS!

Always been a fan of their tang yuans! But this is my first time trying Red Bean and Matcha flavours because all the other flavours have been sold out by the time I patronize the stall (please go early! Before 7pm. To avoid any disappointment)

To my surprise, the red bean filling was pretty solid! Will start ordering this the next time :)

Matcha filling will be a delight to matcha lovers. Quite neutral with that, would prefer to stick with the more traditional flavours like peanut, black sesame, and red bean.

And may I add that the food is v affordable?? 3 for $2 and you to choose between peanut soup, ginger soup and red date/longan soup!

duck confit was yummy yum
beef cheek was yummy yum
pork jowl was yummy yummy yum
pork rib with rice was ermy erm
toffee pudding was perfecty perfect

will comey come again 🤟🏻

Quite sweet, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth kind of delicious. 😋

New on the menu and to take a dig at the Golden Arches, this version of Homemade Hashbrown ($14) is made from peeled Russet potatoes that have been steamed, grated and seasoned with corn flour and salt before getting a tan in the oven for an hour. If you thought that’s the end, it’s certainly not as the potato is then fried and topped with sour cream and fresh za’atar. This might seem like any other hashbrowns that you can get elsewhere but #nothingistooimproper when it comes to Artichoke. The crispy outer shell is just the first layer of amazingness before you reach deeper in to get the warm and starchy potato. The sour cream gives it an uplifting zing that awakens your palate while the spices accentuate the flavour and aroma.

If there is one iconic dish that defines Spanish food, besides the paella, it has to be their octopus dishes and here at Esquina, they execute it excellently. The slices of grilled octopus sit on top of a chorizo broth which you pair it with a serving of smoked potato. The addition of the smoked potato gives it that touch of creaminess and the smokiness of it complements well with the aroma from the grilled octopus, providing a multitude layer of flavours in your mouth.

If there are words to explain my dining experience in Esquina, they are bold and hearty flavours, excellent execution with the charred grill bits and overall, an excellent meal.
