The limited edition sofuto from Family Mart (RM3.90). The sea salt flavour is not pronounced, all I tasted was super milky and vanilla-y. I prefer the matcha sofuto more.
The roasted tea flavour is so strong and I really love it (USD6 for large)! Their pearl is a little too chewy but still delicious, really worth the price.
Super rich brown sugar flavour yet not over sweet. (USD6.50) The pearl is very soft and chewy, while the milk tea has a very mild tea flavour, stronger milk taste, but still acceptable for me.
Char grilled cauliflower with quinoa taboulli and beetroot hummus.
Banana bread french toast (AUD 15) served with fresh strawberries and nutella drizzle. The banana bread is dense and very rich, packful of banana fragrance and a little cinnamon touch. the nutella adds too much sweetness to the dish, overall it is average.
Their Belinger is stuffed with lots of thick creamy custard in the middle. The doughnut is coated with sugar then drizzle with more sugar glazed. It is a little too sweet for me so I peeled off the sugar on top and it is just nice. I actually came for their monthly special (toblerone) but by the time I reached their they were already sold out. If you want to hop for their special do give them a call ahead before going there.
Nutella crepe with ice cream of your choice (RM17), i picked vanilla ice cream as I think it's best pair with sinful, chocolaty nutella. However their ice cream tasted cheap, a little icy and melt really fast. Their crepe is crispy on the outer layer but soft on the middle, you can never go wrong on the hot and cold combination. It is slightly on the pricey side but you can share this with your friends anytime, a little too sweet and heavy to finish on your own.
Minimum 5 ingredients need to be selected for a pot. The ingredients are listed in different price, so the price is vary. Besides the ingredient chosen, they have included celery, potato, peanuts and pepper as the based flavour. We ordered 大辣 (very spicy) but the spice level is just nice for me, pairing this with a bowl of steamy hot rice is so appetizing. This dish can serve up to 3 people so do come and enjoy with your friends and family, or bring back the leftovers for future.
Poached egg with pulled pork, spinach, hollandaise sauce, served on toasted ciabatta (AUD 18). Perfectly cooked soft and runny egg, very flavourful and saucy pulled pork underneath, adds a nice savoury flavour to the dish but not too heavy. Their hollandaise sauce serving is pretty generous, the taste of vinager in the sauce is quite pronounced but I am not complaining about it.
Smoked chicken and brie platter (AUD 16) served with freshly baked ciabatta and housemade cranberry relish. I added their housemade salmon pâté too. They provide free cheese tasting at the counter so if you are not sure which cheese to go to, you can try them out or ask the friendly staff for advice. The brie is super creamy, goes very well with salty smoked chicken and fresh ciabatta. Soft and warm on the inside, crusty on the outside. The cranberry relish is not too sweet, with surprisingly strong onion taste but it worked together very well.
