This was great! I loved the creamy scrambled eggs and the perfectly flaky (but slightly less buttery) croissant. The pork sausage was pretty juicy, but the bacon was rather disappointing and we ended up not finishing it as it was dry and rather hard. Overall, still a very value for money brunch offering.

This dish here at Eleven Strands is high on my list for best beef cheeks I’ve tried. The beef is incredibly tender and soft, having been slow cooked overnight and marinated well. The accompanying mash and sautéed potatoes were great too. The food here is really value for money, especially with burpple beyond’s 1 for 1. Food was served really promptly as well!

I had the red crabmeat pasta and it turned out rather disappointing, especially after I read some really good reviews of this dish on burpple before visiting. I felt that while the crabmeat portion served was decent and the linguine was done perfectly al dente, what was disappointing was the sauce. The sauce was too tangy and tasted strongly of tomatoes, with hardly any crab flavour. The sauce could also be much more creamy, as I found it veering towards the thin side. If you’re looking for crabmeat pastas that are creamier and thicker, other casual, similarly priced joints such as Da Paolo, La Nonna or Rookery serve up some pretty good ones.

The chicken and oyster blade steak here is amazing! The chicken is crazily soft and smooth - probably the best chicken breast I’ve had at a casual salad joint. The steak is really tender and flavourful as well, even without sauce. Highly recommend Wafuken for a healthy meal, especially if you’re in the area for spin or HIIT.

This was simply amazing. Cheddar-chive scrambled eggs oozing onto the plate, spicy aioli, caramelised onions, back-bacon, brioche bun, mini hashbrowns by the side. We loved every bit of this main! Apollo’s interior is also really gorgeous, I really loved the interior design. Will be back for sure! This is definitely the best cafe in the kovan & serangoon area.

I’ve been meaning to try this famous beef kway teow for really long, and I finally found myself in the area for supper. The broth was really rich and packed with flavour, and the kway teow had a decent wok hei taste. The beef slices were incredibly tender as well, and served to us in a generous portion. My only gripe is that the prices are pretty steep (we paid $14 for a medium plate) and the area isn’t very clean or comfortable to sit around (think: cockroaches running around)

Was in the area after having the famous Geylang beef kway teow, and decided to try some dimsum here, as this place has been on my radar for awhile. The hargaos were really fresh and juicy, packed to the brim with fresh sweet prawn. The egg tarts were pretty decent too! Prices are pretty affordable as well.

Supposedly one of their better pastas, but this turned out as disappointing as the crab pasta. The sauce was really watery and tasted more like water heavily mixed with salt & pepper. The only redeeming point would be the generous servings of seafood, but I wouldn’t order this dish again.

We had the crab pasta here, and for the hefty price tag, it was really disappointing. The sauce was watery and lacked any sort of texture, while the fried soft shell crab was slightly soggy when served. Even with burpple beyond’s 1-for-1, I would hesitate before having their pastas again. Maybe the other mains will fare slightly better.

Favorite cold brew in the history of cold brews. Rich, thick, nutty and robust - I never thought cold brews could be this good until I tried this. Love the lively weekend vibe of this place and their coffee offerings - we also tried their nitro cold brew (on the left) and it tasted a little like coffee stout. Definitely one of the best coffee spots in Singapore!
