A fat piece of juicy prawn rests beneath its unctuously crisp exterior, matcha salt on the side as opposed to the commonplace dipping sauce of dashi, mirin and soy. Excellent!
This teppanyaki restaurant was a personal recommendation by a Michelin starred Chef, and I can see why. Apart from the impeccable Japanese beef sirloin steak [¥6,500] I had, this garlic fried rice was so good it left me wanting more.
I can still remember the fragrant wisps of garlic crisps in my mouth. Soon, we will be reunited. Soon. #GourmetAdventuresInTokyo
Reminiscing my very first trip to Tokyo, and this was the first thing I had upon arrival – this, and that heavenly sudachi soba.
Absolutely the fluffiest, most airy egg omelet I've had – ever. It's no wonder they say you can't face Japanese food anywhere else once you've been to Tokyo.
I can't wait to return next month!
Oven baked chicken rubbed down with homemade herb lemon marinate and garlic, served on a bed of organic kale and baby spinach salad.
Simple. Healthy. Delicious. #mandylynnskitchen
The best part of lunch – this decadent green tea brûlée for dessert. So rich and creamily luscious, the kurogoma ice cream sits in a moat of matcha cream peppered with toasted sesame seeds, enthralling us with its flavor.

Fragrant wisps of herb enrich this hummus-like salad, crunchy cucumber slices, tomato and fresh blueberry suffused in olive oil it as most taste of fig. So good we finished it in one fell swoop.

Probably one of the best ones in Singapore, this carrot cake is deep fried in a thick, sweet black sauce with lots of egg, topped with chopped spring onion and sambal chili on the side – fragrant with wok hei flavor.
Welcome home.
A hearty ragout of portobello mushroom and potato is deeply steeped in flavor, a thick slice of sourdough toast beneath soaks up its sweetness, sliced iberico [aged 30 months] and two beautifully poached eggs balance atop, crowning it king.

A fusion take on the Japanese staple donburi, shambles of seafood – prawn, squid, scallop – are tossed in zesty lemon sauce, teased with the slightest hint of chili; more tang than spice.

A classic staple that must be had on each visit to Bochinche is this pan of glorious cheese, wit and crunch; honey as a contour, not a dominant note, a stage more melt than pull.
So good you might not share.
What's more, enjoy this dish on the house every Wednesday with each order of happy hour drink [$10] from 5:30-7:30pm. Looks like we need to make plans right away.
It's been a while since we've had a dish so beautifully light and delicious [not to mention, heathy] such as this stunning creation by Chef David.
The chunky guacamole is whipped from the requisite avocado, contoured with lemon, and peppered with feta, fig and mint – velvety and rich as it should be. Pickled guava crowns the dish, with swirl of olive oil enriching its flavor.
So darned good.
A special dish exclusively available at Capella's Sunday brunch this Mother's Day!
