This plate of noodles was tossed in a spicy sort of malaish sauce. Tiny gems of peanuts shyly lies beneath. The springyness, the crunch and an addictive heat made me shed a tear. To me, it was delectable!

Simplicity and minimalistic will certainly satisfy my lust for noodles. Topped off with company of good friends @rain498 @tiara_star @vincentyong1107 @eugene.see and warm attentive service @birdsofafeathersg it was definitely an excellent noodling day.

Tummy growling and I had to walk in @yirestaurant for dimsum. Woah woah.... behold a beautiful walkway after entering. (Go see my ig story).

Chose not to eat dimsum. I know... so fickle, right? Ordered this crispy noodle which was hugged by prawns, crabmeat and a super light not so starchy gravy with a tinge of seafood jus.

Besides the food, I was mesmerized by the "zen" ambience and the elegant tableware and cutlery. There are 2 pairs of chopsticks, black and beighy white, for each person. This was meant to depict yin and yan, there is a story behind it. So the white is for you to eat with and the black is for picking up food from the communal table. Cool, right?

He always remember I do not consume alcohol and would always secretly do a mocktail, no matter how busy he is. Very well thought of and always very daintily pretty. So it is very apt I make him pose with his creation.

This fishball noodle stall has no name, simply called Teochew fishball noodle. Pretty much under the radar. Manned by an elderly couple.

The springy noodles soaked in a deep dark brown black sambal chilli. Alittle unique in taste and perhaps slightly grainy but not overpowering in heat. See the orange fishcakes? A rare sight indeed! Quite old school flavors which scintillated my tastebuds. And it cost only $3.

Even though this is a small HDB estate, it is like a maze... so many turns and if you take the wrong turn, you will be greeted by a deadend. Well worth it because the noodles were cooked by the smiley and friendly elderly uncle. The good vibes translated into a bowl of deliciousness.
