The 2 "C"s that will always push me. Sussing out the new and improved @thecoconutclubsg .... a hop,, skip and jump from their previous abode.

It is bright and modern, unlike the one from yesteryear which was earthy and rustic. Food remains the same but yet with a slight difference. Still wowing me with the crispy lemongrass fried chicken. Oh and this time, you can choose between breast meat and drum.

Because of their soft launch, the side dishes are complimentary. Big love for the light pumpkin soup (new). Sambal squid feisty as ever and long beans so nutty.

So much food for just me, myself and I. Food coma is real. Thanks for feeding me! Had a blast just watching the lunch service.
My advice is go before and after lunch crowds. Place fills up pretty quick.

As the name suggests, noodles should be que que or in other words "springy". So it was. 4 slices of charsiew in a bowl of plenty meepok. Doused in black sauce and chilli which was ordinary. My take on this.... next time just order plain noodles because of its texture.

This laksa carried the lightest of coconut milk, making it a somewhat healthy version. An evident taste of dried shrimps. It looked weak but it had enough spicy heat to leave a rippling effect. Very old school mouthfeel.

For those who prefer the robust lemaky (coconutty) flavors, this might not satisfy you. This was a laksa but at the same time not exactly a laksa.

There was no queue when we got there. Wrong! There was. The queue was sitting down. Yup... order and wait for your number.

One of the wettest hokkien mee I have eaten. A distinct taste of prawn essence and a slightest hint of wokhei. Very nice spicy chilli. Quite tasty but not the best.

What I did not like. A not so smiley face, queue number skipped and forgotten, resulting in a much longer wait. Will I go back? If I have insane craving.

I traipsed my way to @camaca.sg after accepting their invitation to visit. Occupying two floors, the ground floor housed the gelato counter. As I walked up to the 2nd floor, the stairs split two ways. And I wondered, "hmm.... right or left"? Wont you like to know? Please go find out. Here, you can get your caffeine fix, be it a flat white or pourovers.
