Tried the black pepper crab platter and it was really good! The crab meat was sweet and chunky and the black pepper sauce complemented very well with the dish. We also tried the lobster roll combo with fries which was served with a generous amount of lobster meat. Don’t worry about getting your hands messy because their service was excellent- they prepared the table beforehand and served us lots of plastic gloves and bags as well.

We went for art jamming session at Somerset and it came with a high tea set. First of all, the service was excellent and the chef even asked for our feedback for the food. Overall, the high tea set was reasonably priced for the variety and portion. The food tasted alright but the presentation helped make up for it. This is something you may want to try if you are going for the art jamming session afterwards.

We tried the classic burgers with crinkle fries at Shake Shack. We visited the Jewel outlet after the hype died down and there was less crowd by then. As usual, the burger did not let down and the crinkle fries is a must-have!

Besides having Jewel waterfall as the backdrop, the food at Tonito was great. We tried the arroz con pollo (rice with chicken), the sudado pescado (fish stew) and the chicken quesadillas. I was already full after the first quesadilla (no room for dessert!). My favourite dish is definitely the Mexican rice with roast chicken.

We tried fluffstack when the popularity of the “IG-worthy” pancakes was at its peak (Has it expired yet?) We were not disappointed- the food looked great and tasted good too! Even if you don’t have a sweet tooth, you can opt for other flavours besides chocolate such as plain and mango. Worth trying.

For birthday celebration, the restaurant would serve the 20 layer cake with a candle and a personalised message- do share it because we struggled to finish it let alone 1 person!

We had high anticipation for the meal because of the (previous) hype over it. When we reached there, we had to wait quite some time before being ushered to our seats. The service could be improved. Food wise it was decent but slightly over-hyped.

Ura Hototogisu is part of the ramen franchise that has a Michelin star to its name. But what makes it special is the variety of ramen it offers. There’s lobster ramen. Oyster ramen. And so on. I tried the oyster ramen. Mix the oyster paste with the ramen soup and you’ll get the oyster ramen. The oyster broth had a creamy taste, not overpowered by any strong seafood taste. It’s really good and I’ll probably try the lobster ramen next time when I revisit this ramen place.

Kam’s Roast is a spin off of the original outlet in Hong Kong. The brand has earned itself a Michelin star and this is what attracted us to this restaurant in the first place. The food did not disappoint but we thought that the portion could be more generous considering the price tag and comparing it with other restaurants we’ve tried in SG. In the end we had to top up the meat because it’s not enough for everyone.

Sentosa Grillfest is one event that I’ll always look forward to. We tried the lobster with homemade chilli sauce and half dozen freshly shucked oysters. You’ll know immediately how fresh the oysters are, judging by how good they taste. Enjoy fresh seafood by the beach at Sentosa Grillfest. :D

The Menbaka Fire Ramen restaurant is known for the ‘fire’ show- the fire ramen was doused (with fire) right in front of your very eyes! This experience is one of a kind here at Menbaka Singapore, notwithstanding the original outlet at Kyoto. There was a strong charcoal aftertaste which made the fire ramen unique. We also tried the charcoal karage chicken which tasted like, karage chicken. Other than that, I recommend that you try fire ramen at least once mainly for the experience.
