If you’re afraid of duck having the gamey taste, this is the place for you! Soft &tender braised poultry goss best with the congee! Go ahead &drown your congee in the thick braised gravy.

SIMPLY GOOD.

My favourite soondubu place! Their tofu is made in-house daily &is so soft. The closest that I can find to my favourite one in Jeju. I like the classic pork one &if you’re hungry enough, you can get the combo meal (choice of hotplate + any soondubu).

PERFECT FOR THE RAINY DAYS.

We had a variety of their lobster dishes - Mac&cheese, Steamed, Grilled &Chilli Lobsters!

Mac&cheese has some small cubes of lobster and creamy sauce binding the pasta together beneath that baked cheesy top. Nothing special to shout about, you may skip it &just dive in to the whole live lobsters!

Our favourite is the whole live lobsters, steamed! SUCCULENT FIRM LOBSTER MEAT WITH ALL THE SWEET JUICY GOODNESS RETAINED IN IT! soooooo good &we had so much joy picking the meat out from the large pincers &legs. Don’t just throw away the legs, they’re really packed with lots of sweetness from the sea! MUST TRY!

Think succulent steamed chicken, with a thin layer of transparent jelly that gives the texture an added dimension! The rice is fragrant, not too oily &has distinct grains. Best of all, they have ginger paste other than the usual sweet soy sauce &chilli! No wonder they’ve a huge poster featuring a photo taken with ex-president Nathan.

I think it has become my favourite place to go for chicken rice. LOVE IT.

The place is crowded on a late Sunday afternoon!
Grabbed a cuppa flat white (to-go).

Taste alright, very low acidity and is relatively smooth. Would have preferred it to be packed with a stronger punch of coffee taste!

They roast their own beans! The air is filled with that distinctive scent of the roasted beans. Perfect for coffee lovers!
Their coffees are served in those handmade pottery cups. My flat white taste smooth with moderate acidity. It’s a quiet hideout beneath the HDB block, good to just get your caffeine fix &daydream away~

They’ve prawns of various sizes for you to choose from! The prawns are fresh &have roe (ohyay)!

The soup, however, was lacking in richness, sweetness from the prawn heads &that kick.

You may wish to try the stir fried prawn beehoon! It’s simmered in the soup til reduction. They also have this special Malaysian black chilli to go along with it.

Every of my friend ordered this, including me!

Strong taste of the tiger prawns. The prawns were fresh &firm, easy to be de-shelled. The pasta was also al-dente! This reminds me of chinese prawn mee, done english style!

The pizza crust was awesome, thin but still retains that slight chew! Everyone sang praises of it. Perfect for sharing.

Tender duck meat makes it really decent! However, it falls pale in comparison with Dian Xiao Er’s as the herbal scent was lacking. Crispy skin was also not evident.
One good thing was that the duck wasn’t too fatty.

Set sail to this place after seeing a picture of their lobster roll on instagram! Boy, this burger totally stole the limelight off the crustaceans.

+$8 to change the Angus patty to Wagyu! Totally worth it! The wagyu gives this favourable fragrance in every bite. Juicy Goodness! Would have been perfect if the fries were crispier.

Absolutely loved the pork belly, it got all our votes! The layer of fats albeit looks a little intimidating, has a slight delectable chew and releases the aroma of the meat as you chew on. The meat portion is tender &has light grilled taste to it. BELLY PERFECT! Only wishing that there’s more slices!

Also recommended would be the Yuzu Makgeolli! They brew their own makgeolli &it’s blended with ice, making it extremely refreshing in our climate.

The risotto is done to perfection; that texture of the rice grains, the huge ratio of seafood to carbs. Good main to share around!

*Skip the tofu chips thou, not fascinating. They’re like Ritz’ toasted chips with a slightly undercooked centre. MEH.

Headed there on my nth visit with 3 other colleagues - perfect for the 1-for-1 Burpple treat! We ordered all 4 pasta flavours just to try ‘em all. Other than the beef bolognese, the Mentaiko Scallops, Truffle Mushroom &Sake Mussels captured our hearts.

The Mentaiko Scallops featured scallops grilled/pan-fried to perfection (as usual, Ninja Bowl always cook scallops to the right texture!). The pasta is topped with generous heaps of EBIKO! they add a crunch to every bite! As it is cream-based, it’s highly recommended to be shared with a friend or two.

The Truffle Mushroom filled the air with the lovely scent of truffle, no less! The truffle fragrance invigorates your senses in every spoonful of the linguine. It’s a little oily towards the bottom of the plate!

Sake Mussels have some chopped ham, mussels &real sweet sauce. The sweetness of the sake! This makes the table of food more balanced as it has a lighter &more refreshing taste. I couldn’t help scooping spoonfuls of the sake broth after the noodles have been gone &tucked into the tummies!
