Located in the rather new Aperia Mall, Level 2!

It gets pretty crowded during lunch time, featuring a snaking queue. However, the queue moves fast! You'll order first, make payment and can scoop 3 different types of chilli at the end of it.

The chili pastes were all sedapp! They're packed with a punch of spicy kick, along with mild sweetness. The curry drizzled over my rice was rich and has that slight alluring scent of coconut milk. The chicken comes in a huge piece! Together with another vege, this plate of nasi padang is yours for $6. Given the airconditioned and clean environment, i would say that prices here are quite reasonable!

Do give it a try if you work around the area!

Ordered my almost-turning-into-a-staple: Flat White.

It is rich in the taste of the milk, or rather could I say that the milk actually overwhelmed the espresso. This was lacklustre and not what I was expecting.

Given that they do sell their own batches of beans, I expected way more. Would probably give the other branch nearby another go next time! *Fingers crossed*

Never heard of this cafe and I just happened to pass by before hitting my boxing gym!

Got the iced latte ($5.5) and IT'S REALLY GOOD STUFF. Exudes slight floral notes and also slightly acidic. The space looks simple and good to chill/do some work!

P/s: I just realised they're sister outlets of atlas coffee!

Green bean has always been my top choice of angkukueh (akk) flavour. The one at Poh Cheu wasn't fragrant enuff to get my hooked. BUTBUTBUT..

THE PEANUT ONE BLEW ME AWAYYYY &HAD ME COMING BACK ROUNDS AND ROUNDS FOR MORE!

The peanut is not grinded till too powdery, still retaining that crunch. With a good mix of sugar, it's fragrant and mildly sweet. The generous chunk of stuffings wrapped in the slightly chewy skin. Oh, sooo goooood. There's always a queue when I'm there. So I'll always get a box or two, to make my wait more worthwhile!

$12.8 gets you 2 piece of fried chicken, ikan bilis and peanuts, sunny side up and slices of japanese cucumber.

It's really filling and for 2 girls, i would recommend getting just 1 set with another ala carte rice + egg. The chicken etc can be shared!

The rice grains are distinct yet not dry. Fragrant yet not drowning in coconut milk. Chicken looks dry but it's not and exudes scent of the spices rubbed onto the skin. Chilli first hits you with its sweetness, followed by the spicy kick.

Do give the sambal lala a try! The gravy is sweet and addictive. Lalas are fresh too!

Fish Maw Soup, Fish Maw Soup with Noodles: $10/12
(The $12 one comes with a full piece of fried sole fish!!)

First sip of the soup would hit you with the sweet &savoury scent of the sole fish! It's deeply infused into the soup, alongside about 3-4 thick pieces of fish maw, egg, pork slices, minced pork &liver. This is sooo satisfying and imo, goes best with kwaytiao in it! Sad that they ran out of it when i visited on a Saturday afternoon.

Their meepok dry was clumpy and texture wise wasnt great. Tai Hwa's noodles + Seng Kee's soup would be out of the world thou!!

They're back in SG, a pop up at Takashimaya's food hall till 3 Feb 2019!

This is the RICHEST MATCHA I've ever had. It explodes with the tea scent, and leaves a trail of bitterness. Perfect for matcha lovers! To top it off, I ordered a matcha swiss roll too! The cream is sooo smooth and just as GAO!

This really makes my eyes pop while savouring every spoonful of it. But, don't be greedy, pls share this with a friend or two! Else, I doubt you can finish it all on your own!

Price: $7 for the soft serve, $5 for the swiss roll topping (:

By default, the drink is unsweetened!

It's slightly bitter thanks to the RICH AKA GAO amount of matcha in it! I gotta say that ILOVEIT! Especially with the 1-for-1 promo using Burpple Beyond, I foresee myself getting more from Clipper Tea than Hvala or Tsujiri already!

Original price is $5.80.

Oh, i also love their cup cover which allows me to sip on my drink without having to use a straw!

1-for-1 on Burpple Beyond drew us here!

The Lychee Fiesta is aromatic with notes of lychee, ofcos! If you're afraid of those siap-siap tea, this is the one for you! Zero siap-ness, just the smoothness and aroma of the tea. There's some fine microbubbles at the surface of the drink, thanks to the nitrogen infused from the tap! It's unsweetened. However, you can just let the staff know if you prefer it sweetened!

If i didnt rmb wrongly, the original price is $5.20. With Burpple Beyond and given the large-size bbt cuppa, definitely worth it!

Set Lunch for $12.90++, served with some sides (kimchi, coleslaw and preserved radish) and a drink!

My jjigae was served with an undercooked egg, freshly cracked into the soup before being served! Gave it a light stir and buried the egg to have it cooked (i dont fancy runny eggs).

The soup wasn't too heavily seasoned (i.e. not too sweet/salty/spicy), yay! It has 2-3 fat dumplings, some prawns, sotong, tofu &enoki! Really generous amount of ingredients as I was expecting just tofu &kimchi, just like in the usual kimchi jjigae. The rice is fluffy and no sticky clumps. I polished both the soup &rice bowls clean. ENUFF SAID 😋

If you like it spicy, you may want to try requesting for it to be spicier!

Was having dire cravings for Ya Wang! But oh, train tickets to jb are sold out for the weekends (thanks &no thanks to the upcoming festive)! I recalled trying this really awesome herbal roast duck at a potluck in office just last month. I thought it's from DXE after trying a few pieces of the duck breast! Only to realised that it's actually from YaLoh! (Yes, it's that good &caught my liking at such a blind tasting)

Compared to Ya Wang, the duck exudes a more prominent roast fragrance which i absolutely adore! Herbal gravy wise, it's alot less salty and on the sweeter side. Meat near the bones can be a teeny bit more chewy. So i would say the DXE's one has a better texture overall, but this is definitely enough to get my herbal duck cravings fixed! $13 for a quarter duck! &Oh, the soup is light and has some root vegetables in it!

(Maybe I'll trying requesting for just duck breast next time! COS I LOVE BREAST MEAT!) 😅

My second time here! The food is still as huge in portion, still as good. The wokhei of the cabbage &onions in the Cha Pong is awesome possum. Of cos the all-time favourite Ro Pong is rich and creamy! I was quite slow in eating my noodles but surprisingly, the Ro Pong didn't turn dry or overly sticky! Lotsa mussels in both bowls, all freshly opened up!

After 1-for-1, these two massive bowls suited for hungry souls only cost $22ish (less than $23 but i cant rmb down to the cents hahah) 🙌

They've some new items on their menu - korean risotto &tom yum pong! Can't wait to try them on my next visit 😛 (Do note that the new items and pizzas and excluded for Burpple Beyond)
