The most simple looking things often surprise by being the most outstanding. Like this Apple & Pear Hand Pie at Crackerjack. My favourite out of all the desserts we tried with it's warm, not so sweet filling and hint of plantation rum.

When there was a guest shift by Tangent Cocktail Bar at Lucky Bar. Enjoyed this "Turkish Delight" with a strong lychee flavour. Perfect for those who like sweet notes.

Walnut Crusted Bull Frog using locally sourced Jurong Frog Farm Frog Legs. Served with a bean ragout & teriyaki-sesame dressing.

A good starter to share if you're ever at Vineyard at HortPark.

One of the more smokey, heavy cocktails on the menu at Mitzo. Available during their 1-for-1 Happy Hour.

Craving this Penang Laksa we tried awhile back at Gu Cheng. Cooked in a fish-based, spicy and tangy soup, the rice noodles are plump and springy—my absolute favourite!

This place is truly underrated. If you're looking for some good Penang dishes at affordable prices, check out Gu Cheng.

Fish fillet on a bed of fresh cucumber cubes & edamame, zesty kimchi mayo, avocado, barbecue dressing & furikake sprinkle.

This was a very filling dish with lots of flavours and textures. The sourish kimchi keeps the dish from getting too overwhelming and the battered fish wasn't too oily. Overall a good dish I'd order again.

Sweet potato latte with fairy floss and a flat white. Basic cafe with nice natural lighting and gimmicky drinks thst are great for photos. A decent cup of coffee if you're not picky. The cafe also serves up Bingsu and toast. Lots of power plugs for those that like to work in cafes. But seeming no free wifi. 🤓

Wobbly goodness. This clear 'cake' has just the right consistency. The the others I've tried around Singapore are either too soft or too solid. Eat it with the brown sugar syrup and some soy powder for flavour as the jelly itself is tasteless.

Although this cos seems to be known for its sweet interior and cakes, I thought the mains were much better. Especially this Prawn Laksa with spaghetti. The sauce was coconutty and creamy with just enough spiciness to get tastebuds tingling.

Cos of National Day, till the end of August '17, the 2nd dish is 52% off when you order either this or the Nasi Lemak.

Finca Himalayan blend. Nice and easy to drink. Not overly acidic, mild chocolaty flavour. I could have 5 cups of this in a sitting.

Light on the alcohol, heavy on the sweetness. This pretty much tasted like a canned fizzy apple drink.

I'm not a huge fan of waffles, but I had to try this when I saw it on the menu cos it's mochi waffles. Mochi makes my world go round. ☺️

Stretchy like texture of mochi as I expected, the waffles were ok but this could've been better with more fruits and contrasting syrup to break up the taste a little. We were advised to go with chocolate or salted speculous flavoured froyo on the side, but vanity for our cameras took over and we picked lychee rose for the colour. But what an awful mistake to make. 😂 Stick to the chocolaty or speculous flavours for this Matcha mochi waffle! Suits it much better than the fruity flavours.
