Wow, their noodles are indeed good. Springy and bouncy.
However, Tom yum taste wasn’t as strong and it tasted more like normal chilli. I will suggest the wanton mee instead which my partner had.

Mango Crepe Cake 🍰 (S$13++)
Light and thin crepes, layered with fresh cream and sweet mango from Thailand 🇹🇭, topped with mango sauce.
Available at @GreyHoundCafeSg in @Paragon.Sg
Juicy pieces of mango. Felt the cream was a bit too much at the end.

Was starving + craving something savoury and this Bacon Mac n Cheese sandwich satisfied both! It doesn’t look that big a portion but it was quite filling with its two thick slices of brioche and a generous mac and cheese filling with bacon bits. Definitely would have liked the brioche to be toasted more crisp and to see more bacon bits, but overall it was still a delight to have.
The menu at this particular Maccha House is a fraction of what they serve at Orchard Central, but they do have the Maccha Tiramisu (S$6.20) here, so if you are looking out for parfait or sundaes, sorry please check back with the Orchard Central branch.
And what's nice about this is that they use a good amount of matcha powder here to bring out the taste of a matcha dessert. Unfortunately, the powder, the sponge cake and the cream give me a feeling as though they are separate entities. So while this cake gives a sort of a matcha fix, I'm still thinking if I am better off with a Maccha Latte Float instead.
$6.5 for a bowl of goodness! 3 humongous prawns and m a n y slices of fishcakes.
Travelled to the northern end for these double satisfying soups.
The colour of the seafood soup showed how rich and flavourful it was. And every bit of seafood in it was really fresh. Loved that they had minced meat that absorbed all the goodness of the seafood.
The original Hong Ji BKT was also located in the same coffeeshop. And it was still the best compared its branches in central SG. The soup here was cloudier and definitely stronger in its herbal taste.
The distance travelled was definitely worthwhile for double the treat from these. A must-try for all soup-lovers. #burpple #burpplesg #foodgasm #foodpornsg #sgfood #sgfood #sgfoodies #sgfoodporn #sgmakandiary #foodpics #foodlover #foodstagram #foodstagram #foodie #instafood_sg #instagramsg #instasg #whati8today #nomnomnom #instafoodsg #eatoutsg #foodforfoodies #NomNomSG #sgmakandiary #sgeats #sgfoodlover #sgigfoodies #instafood_sg #stfoodtrending
Beautifully plated in a traditional chirashi bowl, Sun with Moon salmon and unagi don set served in an authentic way comes with a proper miso soup, nicely sliced salmon and grilled unagi on a bed of pearly glistening sushi rice! The bonus in the set is it comes with a choice of side which includes a generous slice of grilled salmon belly.
Another cafe arrived in the north☺️ If you haven't heard so. Here comes @farttartz located at junction 9!
You can either walk from the temporary bus interchange or take bus 811, around 2 stops to reach!
Same menu from Expo and Chinatown!
Enjoy the food guys 😏
Smoked paprika prawns topped with salad, tomato concasse, raisins and the chef's special Mexican mayonnaise on a wheat tortilla with tortilla chips on the side. Unfortunately we found this pretty average - I liked the smokiness and heat that came through from the ingredients but I wouldn't opt for this as a main, when they've many other more filling and memorable options up on the menu, like the waffles. Also felt that there was lacking a crunch somewhere, thought that maybe a hard shell taco would work better here. Thumbs up for the fresh and well seasoned prawns though!
This French Toast with Berries, Mascarpone & Vanilla Ice Cream (S$15.00) could well double-up as an afternoon tea kind of dessert treat, other than served as an all-day breakfast.
The thick toast seem to maintain its taste profile despite coming with authentic vanilla ice cream and mascarpone cheese. Plus, with the decoration of the berries compote, there is a clear distinction of sweet and sour that kind of complements each other. Not forgetting it being Instagrammable with a nice plate and rustic wooden table tops.
I would say, this can be shared with your date over a cup of coffee or hot chocolate.
