Marinated beef filling covered with homemade mash potato. Served with organic salad 》$17.90

The soup has so much depth thanks to the natural sweetness from the seafood. This one has fresh prawn — you can tell because the shell and flesh separates easily — and fish slices with bite and juicy white clams. While white rice would be the natural accompaniment, opt for the one that is topped with oyster omelette instead...fluffy egg studded with plump oysters. So much love. Ok, that's all.

Oyster omelette rice, which came with three plump and juicy oysters. After being plated on a bed of rice, the omelette is doused with a hearty serving of kecap manis, which gives a sweet kick to the savoury omelette.

Not sure 🤔 why but the corn beef seem to have a slight sourish taste.
The dish did not really go well with the accompanied curry.

Here's another glimpse at what @donhosg offer for brunch during weekends. From Potato Rosti to Pan Baked Eggs and healthier option like Avocado Bruschetta, we all favoured different dishes. I kinda like The Don Ho ($18), though sinful I just can't resist the combination of candied maple bacon and grilled pineapple. Not to forget, they serve those irresistible Crispy Eggplant ($12) drench in spicy fragrant sauce for brunch too!

Uni Ikura Toro Misaki Roll ($64.00++), with generous scoops of Hokkaido Salmon Roe and Sea Urchin!

There are hidden gems, and there are REAL hidden gems. Misato is a Japanese restaurant tucked away in some new food wing of Centrepoint (beside Chicken Up) that prides itself on serving quality Japanese food at very affordable prices. Think Saizeriya serving top grade pastas and pizzas.......... yeah sounds too good to be true right?

So they are famous for a few dishes: the A5 Ohmi Wagyu being one of them. at $43.80 for 100g of this amazing piece of meat, this is hands down the most value for money steak you'll ever find anywhere. It is also a big part of why I will DEFINITELY be back here again. perfectly marbled with a weird but tasty yellow bean sauce and mushrooms and tofu that taste more like mochi in texture.. if you love steak you HAVE to order this. 5/5

another popular dish is the okonomiyaki. you can smell this instantly from the kitchen when it is getting prepared. there was enough egg, cabbage, sauce and lightly charred crispy edges to make it a very tasty side. 5/5

popular dish #3 is their matcha soba. yes.. green tea flavoured soba. the green tea taste was cool i guess but i wasnt very impressed otherwise. maybe I'm not really a cold soba kinda guy. or maybe i was thinking the $15 i paid for the soba could have been better spent on a kurobuta pork katsu don which cost the same (yes, it is REALLY cheap there. $15 for a premium black pig katsu don is unreal) so i can only give 3/5 for this matcha soba which essentially came as soba and nothing else haha

ah. the matcha jelly. if you haven't already watched me try to shake The Most Jiggly Dessert Ever you should check it out on my profile. this was so full of matcha flavour i felt i was back in Japan. no joke. best green tea flavoured pudding/jelly in Singapore. 5/5

total damage for an A5 wagyu, huge okonomiyaki, matcha soba, matcha pudding and a pot of hot matcha was around $100. half of it was due to the steak so imagine how cheap everything is!

the only bad point about this place is the waiting time. because every dish to made to order and the chefs start preparing on the spot, this restaurant is famous for long waiting times. i went on an afternoon when the restaurant was half full and still had to wait 30mins before my first dish (the okonomiyaki) was served. be warned. if you are in a hurry DO NOT come here. otherwise this has officially become one of my favourite restaurants in Singapore. i hope this post doesn't cause even longer queues hahahahaha. 5/5

The octopus was very tender yet had a nice bite to it. That combination of the fennel and ink (black sauce) with the XO and red vinegar (clear orangey sauce) took this dish to another level - there was a clear ‘asianness’ about this clever combination of ingredients that’s tangy and savory all at once. I could not help wiping the plate clean of the sauces even after all the octopus was finished. A must try when you are at @blackwattle_sg!

This place has gained much popularity over the past few months for its flavorful Thai Wanton Noodles and became even more famous after being rated 3 stars on Food King. After so much hype, I decided to go down to try it. I honestly don’t prefer to eat Wanton Mee but this store actually makes me crave for it 💕 Okay, even my boyfriend who says everything tastes okay said this is good so you should definitely down to try it!!
.
The noodles were QQ and cooked to perfection and oh my, the char siew was so fatty and delicious and to my surprise, the filling of the wanton was packed with so much flavor though it looked so plain! They added pork lard into the bowl and it added an extra texture to the whole dish (and they gave a lot as well!! so this kind of made me love it even more cus i love pork lard). Overall, I really loved this bowl of Wanton Mee and I think this will become my new go-to spot ☺️

Chin Huat is a favourite spot for my Dad and his buddies for their seafood fix. Giant tanks of seafood just outside, you can be sure that everything is uber fresh! 🌊

This was a special, off the menu item (of course my Dad would know about it), the massive 1.6kg crab we got simmered in their superior broth. 🍲Maximum umami and super shiok to slurp up. But the interesting part is the bowl of rice crispies that you can choose when to add in! 🍚Early on, it adds a little crunch and texture to the amazing broth but later on, it soaks up all that liquid and becomes little crab umami rice bombs 😂

Chirashi Don (S$17.90)
Available at @TheBetterShipSg
It was served in a "ship", with ebiko (shrimp roe), shredded inari (bean curd puff in soy sauce and mirin rice wine), tamago (Japanese rolled omelette), marinated jelly fish, shredded radish and sushi ginger slices. The diced sashimi was marinated with shoyu, which did not taste too fishy or salty. However the plating and the too wet rice, made it rather difficult to eat with chopsticks. The dish was served with a bowl of miso soup.

Hearty Chicken Stew. 🍲The melt-in-your-mouth chicken 🍗 drum stick is really good!! So so soft and tender! They also provide bread for you to dip in the stew. Would have been better if they had more soup? Other than that this is 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.
