All meals should begin like this - Freshly baked bread served seconds after it comes out of the oven, and great quality dips for you enjoy with it. We ordered the burnt miso hommus, baba ganoush, and a spinach and plum dip (my favourite) and loved them all! You might want to resist the temptation to order more bread as it’ll fill you up before your mains arrive, but I won’t judge you if you did because the dips are amazing!

There’s a common misconception that you can’t eat pork pink... but if you haven’t then this dish is a great introduction for you to try it out. My favourite part was the thick jus that coated every bite. And I’m such a sucker for roasted red onions, so this dish was awesome!

Soft, fluffy and delightful! Could maybe do with a nice scoop of ice cream along with some fresh fruits, but they really take all of this soufflé business quite seriously in this cafe! Nice finish to the meal.

At first glance, this looks like something your mom whipped up with whatever that is left over in the fridge... don’t let the appearance fool you though! You’ll find an onsen egg, sausages, spinach, tomatoes, eggplants, mushrooms and bacon all randomly put together with spaghetti which sounds pretty normal, but there’s a special shoyu sauce that brings it all together. It really elevates the umami to such an enjoyable level!

Taking baked rice to a whole different level, didn’t really know what I ordered but I’m Glad I did. This version had a curry sauce with lots of goodies like vegetables, sausages and meat. The star of the show is what’s on top though... a soufflé egg mountain topped with cheese baked to perfection that jiggles at the slightest touch!

You’ll find this dish on every table at JB Ah Meng, and for good reason. Only recently discovered this style of dish and am loving it.

Picture this... a brioche Bun with poached eggs, avocado smash, potato hash, thick cut bacon, and a great spicy sauce to bring it all together! Great way to start the day!

It’s not easy to make this ingredient work, but I’m sure this dish will silence the harshest brussel sprout critic. The pickled onions help cut through the rich coating that worked so well with the perfectly cooked sprouts. It wasn’t overly bitter, and was helped by the sweet glaze that made me wanting more!

I’ve not been the biggest fan for Mexican food, but this meal might have just made me one! If you’re heading down on Tuesdays, enjoy their Taco Tuesday promotion of $3.50 per taco and choose from their wide selection. I’ll recommend the Fried Chicken for sure, and the Slow Braised Pork Belly!!

Really awesome Nasi Lemak tucked near the famous petaling street. The fried chicken is really good, the rice is fluffy and full of that coconut flavour you would expect, but the star of the show is the sambal that binds everything perfectly together!

I love how they made the pieces of meat chunky and finished it well over the grill, not over charring everything but leaving it perfectly cooked. The sauce has a nice spicy hint to it to leave you wanting more!

Came here just to try the chicken wings, but ended up ordering a full blown meal that was epic in its own way. The wings were perfectly grilled over charcoaled fire and you can taste the deep deep marinate that it’s been in for a long period of time with every bite. Make sure you order more than enough because it’s a long wait!
