Tucked inside this busy coffee shop near Petaling Street, you’ll find this famous beef noodle soup that has been here for ages. I love the fried garlic bits in the soup that gives it that extra texture and flavour along with all the beef parts, and the salted vegetables as well. Be sure to check it out when you can.

Extraordinary value for a dish like this, the broth is excellent with the ginger, chilli and chinese wine all perfectly balanced to extract the sweetness of the clams. The bee hoon is then added at the last minute to soak up all that goodness to prevent it from being overcooked. They are pretty generous with the amount of clams for just RM10, be sure to order this when you are here!

Tucked in the corner of petaling street, this stalls serves up perfectly cooked noodles that have such a delightful spring and bite to it. The wantons are plump and placed in a flavourful broth, and the noodles are accompanied by your choice of char siew or steam chicken. Check it out when you can!

Always a stop for me when I come to KL... this banana leaf stall has left an impression on me since the first time I had it and it’s still good! As mentioned by the other reviews, be sure to enjoy the fried bitter gourd, but the beans are also great! I’ll recommend a side of mutton curry and the fried squid to go with this meal!

Beneath the blanket of perfectly melted cheese are the molten eggs sitting on top of a thin tortilla (I think). That itself is enough to be the star of any dish, but that’s not all... around it you’ll find an avocado showcasing the kitchen’s knife skills, rolls of smoked salmon, plump cherry tomatoes and a bed of greens to complete the meal. Be sure to grab a cup of coffee to go along with this while you’re here!

The drink it’s pretty milky and mild tasting at first, but finishes with a nice mocha after taste that I really liked!

One of the cakes on offer at the newly opened Wakey Wakey is the Speculoos Cake. It’s slightly dense with a light chocolate coat on the top. Note that their cakes are not baked in-house.

Tucked inside of Tai Sun Eating House, you’ll find this stall selling prata and various types of curries. I’m actually pretty impressed how soft and tender the mutton was, I could scrap all the meat off with my spoon at minimal effort, and the curry was packed with flavour!

Located at Golden Mile Hawker Center is this humble stall selling Beef Noodles and the beef tendon & brisket claypot caught my eye! You can add $1 for a bowl of noodles to go with it to complete the meal if you like. The tendon and brisket was pretty good and the soup base was tasty!

I’m a big fan of this dish, the prawns were fresh and the toufu was silky smooth. Let’s not forget the sauce which was super tasty with bits of spring onions that goes perfectly with your claypot rice!

Tucked away in the middle of Geylang, is this no frills shop that warns you of a 30mins and upwards wait if you do not preorder your claypot rice. There are no menus, other than the signboard along the walls. They are really generous with the toppings and the rice is cooked really well! Definitely check it out when you can!

Follow the long queue in the middle of Whampoa market and you’ll find Singapore Fried Hokkien Mee with pictures of our former president Dr. Tony Tan on the front. This plate is not the best I’ve had, but it’s terribly subjective if you’re a fan of the dry/wet, spicy/non-spicy, beehoon/mee. It was a good dish though and the chilli packs a punch! I love how they sprinkle the piece of lard all over the dish to give that added texture to the dish.
