Located at a random corner of the dodgy shopping mall, the restaurant serves generous serving of delicious chirashi don ($26). The fish slices are so thick, at least twice the thickness of the typical sashimi. And they taste so fresh! The chirashi don had a great variety of fishes and scallops, and it leaves you feeling so satisfied. Kudos to the Chef!

We had high expectations for the noodle chain.

We ordered the Shoyu soba and pork belly rice. The ramen came with the usual flavoured egg and bamboo shoots, and topped with truffle purée. The truffle purée gave the soup a different dimension, which was surprisingly palatable. However, the rest of the dish felt just like any other typical ramen. I have definitely tasted better ramens.

I would recommend the big bowl ($5) for the extra ingredients. The noodles come with Chinese sausage, wanton, char siew, crispy pork lard, and vegetables. I love to add a spoonful of chilli flakes for the extra kick! The noodles are also springy and flavourful. Overall, a good bowl of wanton mee!

I love bandung, and McDonald’s version is pretty good. The strong rose floral taste hits you, followed by the usual milkiness of the classic vanilla cone. For just $1, I am definitely going back for more! .

I usually order the 2 pax set, which is large enough to share among 3 of us. The star of the dish must be the beef rendang, which was so tender that the meat just fell off the bone. The dish also comes with chicken curry, achar, potato patty and fragrant rice. .

We ordered 2 parfaits (matcha and sesame) since it’s 1-for-1 on Burpple Beyond. All of us prefer the classic matcha flavour better. The parfaits came with toppings including chewy mochi and toasted rice puffs. The only complaint is that the store does not have many seats so you might have to stand around. McDonald’s Sweet Potato Soft Serve ($2) - I had some reservations at first but the sweet potato flavour was surprisingly good! It tasted like a real sweet potato, and went well with the crispy waffle cone. My friends had the Kit Kat McFlurry which tasted just like any other chocolate ice cream. I would say spend your money on the sweet potato soft serve instead! Ratings - Taste: 4/5 ; Price : 4/5
Located near clementi MRT, this hidden gem serves a huge variety of authentic Thai food! My favourite is the Tom yam noodles, but the basil pork rice is also not bad! Prices are very reasonable, so do drop by if you are around the area!
We finally got to try shake shack at Jewel! The queue is still really long (about an hour on weekdays). But I would say it’s worth the wait! The shroom burger stole the show with that crispy portobello mushroom that’s so juicy and tasty. We tried the smokeshack as well, which had a thick beef patty and crispy bacon. It was a decent beef burger. I would also recommend the mango concrete. The frozen custard was so creamy and sinful, and goes well with the mango. Overall, the burgers are delicious, but prices are a bit steep for fast food. Ratings - Taste: 4.5/5; Price: 4/5
A&W at Jewel Changi Airport - Spent 30mins queuing for A&W, because we are Singaporeans 😅 we ordered a feast: the cream cheese chicken burger, golden aroma fried chicken, root beer with 2 scoops of ice cream, waffles and curly fries. I didn’t quite like the combination of cream cheese and chicken in the burger. The fried chicken was surprisingly crispy and juicy! A&W root beer float lives up to its name and I would advise to just stick with the 1 scoop ice cream that comes with it. Float with 2 scoops was an overkill. Waffles were alright, nothing to shout about. Overall it was a good meal, but I will not travel all the way and queue for this. Just wait for the hype to settle down and pop by before you fly off for a holiday. Ratings - Taste: 3/5 Price: 4/5
