Delicious Kaisen Chirashi Don..
A mix of seasonal and staple sashimi including scallop, sea bream, tuna, swordfish, salmon, striped jack and salmon roe, negitoro, sea urchin seasoned with our signature sauce served with tamago on sushi rice. Super fresh, yummy & totally worth it!! 5/5

Local delight: Rojak! This is a traditional fruit and vegetable salad dish commonly found in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. The term "Rojak" is Malay for mixture. It consists of mixing deep fried dough fritters, Tau Pok aka deep fried beancurd (cut into small pieces), fruits like apple, pineapple, vegetables like white radish, kang kong, all thinly sliced and folded in with fermented prawn paste, sugar, lime, garnished with chopped peanuts and finely-cut fragrant ginger flowers for a piquant taste. Sometimes, the hawkers add in BBQed Cuttlefish Strips or blanched Cuttlefish (cut into bite sized portions). One of the best, if not the best in Singapore! 5/5

They call this 黑白配 (Black White Match). It's a type of Muah Chee (Glutinuous Rice Balls) coated in Traditional Crushed Peanut & Sugar (brown color) and a modified version with Black Sesame with sugar (black color). This is supposedly the famous Hougang Muah Chee now located at the Basement Food Court at HDB Hub. All I can say is that it was really yummy!! Must try!!! 5/5

This is by far one of the best Korean BBQs in terms of its food quality and authenticity in its setup and atmosphere. Love how the lady boss speaks with a hint of Korean accent in her replies and demeanor. Yummy marbled Wagyu short ribs, nicely portioned Pork Belly, well seasoned Chicken and the ever abundant side dishes (including Kimchi etc)...really love this place! They also serve Korean alcoholic beverages like Hite Beer, Sochu, Makgoelli (my fave!) MUST TRY 5/5

Leaving Mr Baguette without trying their lava baguettes ($1.80) is simply a no-no. Just looking at these baguettes will get you salivating. This humble little stall in Golden Mile Food Centre offers both sweet and savoury baguettes, so you're not going to miss out if you don't have a sweet tooth. Imagine biting into a mini hot, crusty baguette, and having a copious amount of luscious molten chocolate or red velvet filling flow out – oh so irresistible. They're rather innovative here; flavours include cheese, tiramisu and cookies and cream. These little babies can be brought home and reheated as well, so you can enjoy them from the comfort of your home. ;)

Alaskan Snow Crab: Level 7 of our 9 Tier Seafood Tower journey. I've had langostines before but not purely steamed ones. The last one we had was seasoned in spicy sauce and thus the actual taste of the langostines was actually masked to a certain extent. I feel the texture of the langostines is somewhat an acquired preference haha 3/5

This was Level 7 of our 9 Tier Seafood Tower for dinner yesterday nite at Captain K's! The steamed squid was presented in a pretty unique fashion with it stuffed with tasty glutinous rice. The entire squid was probably gutted as per normally and stuffed full of Kimchi Flavored Glutinuous Rice (I think) and steamed to perfection. After which, it was sliced into bite sized servings and kept warm in the 9 Tiers of steamy goodness! Dabbing the single servings in the Belachan Chilli paste & wah-la..ultimate yummy-ness right there in your mouth!! 5/5

So last night, we decided to have dinner at Whampoa Drive Makan Place. It's just impossible to pass up having the Hokkien Mee there. The queue was long as always but the Wok Hei and flavorful noodles, squids & prawns are worth the wait. With their signature 3 types of chilies (Paste/Red Chopped/Green Chopped), you get just the right amount of heat and spice with every yummy mouthful!! Must try!!! 5/5

Yummy home-cooked Hua Diao Clams with Scallops Farfalle!

A very typical dessert that we find a stalls but making it from scratch was really pretty fulfilling. Furthermore the sweetness and texture always just right!

Simple dish prepared for a simple meal.
