Tried Do Qoo at PLQ mall!

More dessert choices at Paya Lebar now!

You can either order fixed bowl or create your own customised bowl here! Most dessert bowls are at the price of $4.30. Got the Yours Taroly ($4.30) which had the yam pudding jelly, yam cubes, aloe vera, grass jelly and soy pudding base!

I feel like there is much more dessert topping choices here than the other dessert shop at Paya Lebar Square!

Discovered a new tze char gem place to visit!

Was searching for affordable and nice tze char in the Geylang Area and chanced upon JB Garden Seafood Restaurant with raving reviews! Many made comparison to JB Ah Meng (which is just a a few mins down the street) and said this was as nice and way cheaper!

Brought the family out here to try the food!

Here is what we ordered:
-San Lou Bee Hoon ($10.50 for Medium)
-Herbal Paper Wrapped Chicken (1 whole chicken for $28)
-Hot Plate Beancurd ($12 for Small)
-Curry Fish Head ($28)
-Prawn & Pork Omelette ($8 for Small)
-Coffee Pork Ribs ($12 for Small)
-Sambal Sweet Potato Leave ($10 for Small
-Drinks ($2-3+)

The star of the show is clearly the San Lou Bee Hoon! It was not overly chaotah! Much wok hei taste. Tastes even better with the sambal chilli sauce dip! The herbal chicken was also tender, with sufficient herbal soup for drizzling on rice. Sizzling hotplate beancurd was also my other top favourite! Super flavourful black sauce with minced meat and soft tofu! Curry Fish Head portions and ingredients felt slightly little for the pricing though. The coffee pork rib was one of the worst item ordered imo though. The sauce was the watery kind, and the sauce tasted way too bitter. Other places serve better coffee pork ribs.

Come here for the San Lou Bee Hoon especially! Skip the coffee pork ribs for sure!

Will be back again, as it is affordable! No GST and No service Charge here! For 6 adults, the bill amounted to $120 only!

If you have missed Wanton Seng's Noodle Bar, be glad to know that they are now back as @riot.sgp !

Culinary Renegades, flavour revolutionaries. At Riot, you get to try something new, instead of the everyday sameness!! Many interesting food menu choices here!

Here is what we had (as part of the dinner menu):
-Aburi Char Siu Noods: This is truly the star! Loved the chewy noodles with flame seared pork belly char siu that is perfecto! Plump boiled pork wantons too! Love it all!
-Baked Malasagna: I quite like this!! Spicy pork ragu with lasagna sheets and filled with lots of mzzarella! It is not super mala spicy!
-Seafood Nasi Lemak: This came with sambal prawn, fried squid, spiced omelette (think otah + omelette), peanuts and anchovies!

-Chilli Cheese Fries: Finally a place that I can eat chilli cheese fries! Most other place serve it with minced beef, but here it is pork ragu!! You even have the option of choosing crispy (default option) or soggy fries!
-Fried Pork Wantons: Love the wantons! Both fried and boiled versions!
-Grilled Crispy Cuttlefish: Great as a snack bite
-Fried Squid: Seasoned with spiced salt!
-Clam Broth: Fresh white clams! The soup is the spicy seafood broth kind!
-Eggplant Hummus: A very interesting dish! This is served with crispy pork skin!

-Drinks: Many alcoholic drink choices available! For non-alcoholic drinks from the "boring corner" lol), we got the iced oolong jasmine tea, honey lemon oolong tea, chrysanthemum drink and the fresh lemonade!

Wholesome dining experience! Come here if you want to try interesting tasty food! Great place for gathering with friends and family!

The super hot weather recently called for a thirst-quenching drink from Fruce! I got the πŸ₯‘ Avocado Coconut drink! It’s a super refreshing drink! The flavour is rich, buttery, and intense! I opted for the 0% sugar sweetness level, and it was still good too! Find them at Wisma Atria (#B1-45) or NEX (#B2-34)!

Who else loves grilled fish as much as me?

One of the affordable grilled fish place which we frequent is What The Fish! They can be found at various outlets! The one I always frequent is the one at Paya Lebar Square and Parkway Parade!

Initially wanted the fillet set ($7.80) but it was sold out during my time of visit (dinner time). Henc, I got the Half Fish Meal instead ($10.80) = Limbo Fish Tail with Rice. Was having a sore throat then so I tried the chicken soup mushroom flavour instead!

Verdict? I still prefer the fresh green pepper flavour!

Apiary!

Got the signature brown butter waffles with double scoop ice cream - apiary and pistachio ($8 for waffle + $9 for double scoop + $0.5 for premium flavour + $1 for signature sicilian pistachio = total $18.50)

The signature apiary ice cream flavour consists of wildflower, honey and cocoa nibs! Very interesting! Got my usual favourite pistachio flavour to try too!

Overall enjoyed both the waffle and ice cream here! Both flavours were good! πŸ‘πŸ»

Do not be deterred by the long queue on the first floor. They actually have alot of seating on the second upper floor! Just wait a while for the staff to let you in!

Great place for desserts after dinner!

Was at Marina Square busy furniture Shopping and stopped by Oh My Cow for sweet treats!

Here is what we got
-Kyoto Matcha
-Osmanthus Oolong

Was using the 1 for 1 offer from Burpple Beyond, so we only paid $5.90 for both cups!

Their ice cream is on the creamier heavy side. I personally prefer the osmanthus oolong from BOP! But the matcha here was still pretty decent for me, it is on the sweet side though! If you prefer bitter matcha icecream, head to hvala instead!

Super long time since I last ate Lee Wee & Brothers Nasi Lemak, as there is not alot of outlets islandwide.

Got the Honey Glazed Chicken Wing set ($6) which consists of the wings, fishcake, otah and ikan bilis. I liked that the ikan bilis was packed in an air tight packet, so it was still super crispy! The sambal chilli sauce was also in a separate packet, so it wasnt dozed all over the nasi lemak rice!

Segamat Tze Char from circuit road hawker! Saw many ppl ordering from this tze char stall so we decided to try it too!

-Fujian Mee Noodle ($5)
-Sliced Fish Hor Fun ($6)

While the portions looked quite big initially, it was smaller than it seems due to the shallow plate πŸ˜‚ but it was a good plate of tzechar as the noodles were full of wokhei!! Loved the spicy sambal chilli sauce too! But really not too much ingredients/noodle though the price quite affordable

We were still feeling hungry/mouth itchy after these 2 plates hence we ordered another chicken chop as seen in my previous post lol

79 Circuit Rd, #01-45, Singapore 370077

Ikea always have such long queue especially on weekend!

We were there for a late lunch meal and the queue was still so long!

Got the meatball (8 pieces), garlic bread with mushroom soup, and fried chicken wing (6 pcs)!

I love the meatball sauce, but dont really take beef, so we did not order the normal meatball meal which had 12 meatballs. Also, I just realised that there is an option to order less than 6 pieces of chicken wing (though not shown on the menu)! We always find it too much to finish 6 pieces between the both of us, and I am not a super big fan of ikea's chicken wings. Find it not marinated enough? OCK chicken wing is so much better!

Loved the garlic bread here though! Goes well with the mushroom soup!
