Headed to Wang Wang Crispy Curry Puff intending to get their YAM PUFFS as I was craving for them, only to realise that for the whole month of September 2023, they will only be selling yam mooncakes, and no puffs for the upcoming mooncake festival season!
Contemplated for a long time before I got 2 pieces of yam mooncake with single yolk (1 piece retails for $10.50)! This is actually not my first time eating their yam mooncakes! Have eaten it before!
Love how you can buy just one piece here, not in a fixed box of 4! Their mooncakes are also packed in paper boxes, so you know you are not spending extra $ for the extravagant mooncake packaging that most other mooncake sellers are doing.
Crispy flaky skin with fragrant yam! 💜
However, if you are getting this with the original intention of getting the yam puff, I think it is better to just wait till the next month to get the yam puffs ($1.6-$1.80 only) haha!

I have been eating Bai Nian for many years now! However, it has been around 3 years since I last ate it! (Used to frequent the stall at Chai Chee area after gym classes!) Happy to know that they have opened up another stall at Old Airport Food Centre now!
I think the prices have increased though. It is now $5.90 for the yong tau foo meal. What is so special about the yong tau foo here is that it is a fixed set that consists of various yongtaufoo items, as well as specialty such as prawn ball and meat balls. The Meat Balls are my favourite! Super love their spicy hot chilli sauce too!
This stall used to have a very very long queue at Albert Centre hawker, not sure if it is still the same now!
But I must say, over the years, the portions seem to have shrunk...
If you will like to try them, head to 01-154 at Old Airport Hawker Centre!
It has been more than four months since I last claimed a burpple beyond deal! Was at Kallang Leisure Park and decided to check out Fang Patisserie (this has been on my wishlist for the longest time!)
They are located near the checkout counter at the cold storage! (We initially couldnt find them too, but read another burpple review captions and managed to locate it!)
Claimed the 1 for 1 cake+ drink set! Paid $14.70 in total for these 4 items here:
-Moon - Mango and Jasmine with an oreo-like crust
-Blossom - Yuzu and Matcha
-Iced Matcha Latte
-Iced Mango Passion Soda
Super love their pretty desserts! Iced cold drinks are a must for the hot day! Will be back to try more of their other bakes and cakes!
Bak Kut Teh Lovers, check out @yahuabkt at Toh Yi Drive 7th Mile Coffeeshop!
The Bak Kut Teh soup here is the peppery kind, but at the same time it is not overly peppery!

-You Tiao: This is a MUST to order! Their you tiao was so crispy! Love to soak it in the bkt soup!
-Silky Steamed Egg: Woah, super love this too! Silky smooth and taste so good!
-Tau Key: Best to pair with the white rice!
-Salted Vegetables: Refresh your palate with this!

-Pair with Mee Sua Soup or White Rice

@onigiriplanet.sg sells Okinawa-style rice ball that comes in the shape of sandwiches, with luncheon meat and egg omelette!
I fondly miss eating such rice sandwich balls in Okinawa, so very happy to know that I can have a taste of it in Singapore now too!
There are many choices for the sushi sandwich and the prices start from as low as $4.90!
Featured here is the Ebi Tempura ($6.90) and the Peanut Butter Chicken Katsu ($6.90). The Peanut Butter Chicken Katsu one was soo unique! It was not weird at all actually! Loved the crispy ebi tempura with mentaiko sauce!
You can also get the value combo set to add on sides or drinks!
For the sides, choose from creamy croquette, mentaiko fries or honey mustard fries!
For the drinks, they have black tea, honey lemon or green tea!
Simple comfort food that is made fresh only upon order, so you will get them hot and warm!
Find them at Hillion Mall #B2-36!
Second time at @97nasi lemak !
Besides selling nasi lemak, they also sell the economic beehoon / kway teow mee too!
For this second trip, I dined in instead of takeaway (as takeaway had additional charge). Got the ala carte order with chicken katsu ($1.80) and nyonya fish otah ($1.50). The ala carte nasi lemak rice was 80 cents, hence totals to $4.10.
Not sure why but this time round no cucumber slices were given for the ala carte order (although I do not take it, so not really a concern to me). The sambal chilli sauce is a must for this nasi lemak as the nasi lemak rice was on the lighter side.
(P.S. They are on the @dbsbank $3 paylah participating promo stall list too!

When I was working in Funan area, Tony Café caifan was one of my favourite food to get, and the only caifan place that I frequent the most (at least once every week)!
Tony Café is called a café, but they are not a café at all. They are situated in a very unassuming location at The Adelphi Mall Level 2. If you do not frequent this place, you may not even know that such food place exists in The Aldephi Mall!
What is so special about Tony Café caifan is that they have specialty meat dishes for each day of the week (hence my favourite caifan stall because I do not order vegetables LOL). Fried Chicken Wings are served on mon, wed and sat. Tuesday is meatball days. Thursday is honey wing days. (this is what I recall from 5 years ago la hor, not sure if it has changed over the years)
During my recent visit (it was a Friday), they were serving this Fried Chicken Cutlet! Like that they prepared special chilli sauce for the chicken cutlet too!
On fried chicken wing day they also have the option of "chicken rice" instead of "plain white rice"
My typical orders are the specialty meat + otah + egg tofu. But during this visit, there wasn't any otah. Hence I got a serving of curry potato instead (lol carbs on carbs). You can request for curry sauce or braised sauce!
This order amounted to $4.30.
Location: 1 Coleman St, #02-23 The Adelphi, Singapore 179803
Their signature items here are the Beef Ribs, Lamb Ribs, and they have a wide range of steak choices! Besides these, they also have burgers, pastas, risottos as well as fish and chips! There is something for everyone here!
