First spotted Dickson Nasi Lemak when we walked by to get toHello Arigato Joo Chiat Cafe! Tried out a sampling tasting portion set when they were at the Singapore Food Festival last month!

This time round we are back to try the full set! They are well known and famous for their nasi lemak!

Got the Chicken Leg ($9.20) and boneless chicken thigh ($6.90) to try. They have different menu options for a half boiled egg or a full sunny side up egg!

What is so good about this nasi lemak is that EVERYTHING tastes good! Fragrant coconut aroma nasi lemak rice, to the sweet spicy chilli sauce, and well marinated juicy chicken! Between the two, I actually preferred the boneless chicken thigh version, which seems have more marination taste than the chicken leg! However, if you want a substantial meat portion, then the chicken leg one will be a better option for your!

Their operating hours are quite short: 830-1030am or 1145am to 3.30pm. So time your visit well if not you may miss out on it! Do note that they only have takeaway available here, no dine-in!

Make @planadessert your Plan A place for desserts!

Here at Plan A Dessert Cafe, they specialise in Snow Ice / Korean Bingsu, made from 100% meji fresh milk!

Their bingsu comes in petite, small and large sizes, and in many different flavours! Featured here is the Mango Yuzu (Large size; $17.90).

This bingsu had very fine and smooth ice milk shavings, with fresh mango cubes! Loved the citrusy yuzu twist to the typical mango bingsu! This also comes topped with roasted almond flakes and light whipped cream. There is also surprise in the bingsu, as it comes with dried cranberries and even CORNFLAKES!

Bookmark this place for your next dessert spot! Best spot for gathering with friends and loved ones too!

Second time at The Landmark Restaurant for their buffet!

And it was surprisingly better than my first trip here a few years back!

The food was tastier this time for some reasons, and I greatly enjoyed their western selection as well - tomato pasta, grilled fish, chicken chop. The asian delights selection such as the sambal lala and BBQ black pepper prawn were tasty and fresh too! Be sure to check out their satay too!

Was told by my dining companions that the chilli crab meat was not the freshest, so I decided not to spend the effort to eat it. Just get the fried mantou to dip with the chilli crab sauce will do!

If you are here with kids, they also have a range of fried finger snacks which kids will love - potato puff, spring roll, calamari and tapioca cake!

End off the meal with a round of desserts, ranging from kueh to fresh fruits to puddings and cake as well as ice cream. There is also free flow drinks available!

If you are finding any halal buffet place for your next corporate gathering, this will be a good and affordable place to check out!

Finally tried the legendary UBI BAN MIAN when I took a trip to nearby audio house to get my BTO house appliances!

I was confused by the way they serve their ban mian here. Why was the ban mian dry served in plastic bowls, and soups as well as ban mian soup served in red bowls? The only reason I can think of is they ran out of clean red bowls to serve so they decided to just use disposable plastic for the ban mian dry which is less hot. LOL is this the real reason ah anyone knows?

Anw, between this and the Lorong 32 ban mian, I thought they pretty much taste the same! But Ubi's minced meat portion seems less substantial or more minced so I don't really get to eat much in one bite. The chilli here is also different. The chilli here has less of the minced chilli paste, but more of the sliced chilli padi kind.

Overall, still a nice bowl of banmian to have if you do not have the option of Lorong 32 Geylang banmian.

Here at Mrs Hen, they specialise in Ayam Geprek!

Their ayam geprek is super crunchy, and juicy! Best thing about it is customising the meal to your preference!

1. Pick the protein - Highly recommend getting the ayam geprek, otherwise there is also tahu, ikan and terong to choose from!
2 Pick the base - i tried the nasi white rice and nasi kuning yellow rice! preferred the yellow rice, super fragrant!
3. Pick the topping choice: I got the sambal platter (which consists of 3 kinds of chilli - signature, hijau and matah)! Get this if you cant decide which you will like or if you want more variety! I also got the non-spicy salted egg sauce, which is good for non-spicy eaters! Otherwise, for spicy lovers, y ou can also choose their mango chilli, garlic chilli, sweet soy sauce chilli or manadonese chilli ceviche
4. If you are feeling hungry, you can add-on to the main: Choose from begedil / fried egg / acar / melted cheese / fried tofu

They also have various sides to choose from - we got the fried enoki mushroom and fried crabstick!

For drinks choices, we got the iced passionfruit drink! Ordering drinks is highly recommended here especially if you are getting the spicy sambal chilli toppings!

All in all, greatly enjoyed the food here. The food was prepared only upon ordering and was served hot, and the rice and ayam geprek were super fragrant! 10/10 recommend to give this place a go, you will not regret it!

Xin Wang Hong Kong Café had opened a new outlet at Novena for quite awhile already, but it is my first time dining in there ever since covid!

Got the fragrant spicy char siew fried rice ($9.80++)! It took quite awhile before the food got served (as compared to other dishes like the instant noodle which my dining companion got). First impression, the fried rice was really fragrant, and not too spicy! Almost like a sambal fried rice! However, the char siew was TOO FATTY TO MY LIKING! There was barely any lean meat for me to eat, 80% of it was fats! So although it was well charred and grilled, the pathetic amount of lean meat makes me not want to eat this again.

But if ou are fans of fatty char siew, do give it a go!

Gyozasan_singapore specialises in GYOZAS and their mennu are specially curated using only chicken! No Pork and No Lard!

Featured here are the following two items:
-Gyoza-San Chilli Crab Bento x 3 original Gyozas ($12.90): I freaking LOVE THIS sooo much! If you love spicy food, you HAVE to get this! The chilli crab sauce was super shiok! Plus an onsen egg was given, so imagine oozy egg + spicy shiok chilli crab sauce with very meaty crab meat = SUPER GOOD COMBINATION! Highly recommend this! Ate up every scoop of my food! This set comes with 3 original crispy gyozas on the side too!

-Special Unagi Gyoza ($7.50 for 6 pieces): This was so so unique! Where else can you can find a gyoza that has unagi and chopped chicken? The sauce given to accompany this gyoza was also different from the original one, it was a sweet dipping sauce. There were visible bits of unagi in the gyoza. I LOVE IT SO MUCH!

Gyoza-San also offers island-wide delivery now! Order their food from this link - order.gyozasan.com
