Second time back here at fantastic dim sum because the other dimsum place we wanted to go was closed today for some reason!

Only after ordering did we remember that the portions for the dimsum here for the cheecheongfan were huge! Feeling bummed that the charsiew dishes were not available! Wanted to get the baked charsiew pastry and baked charsiew bun but all not available.

-steamed chee cheong fan with prawn ($5)
-fried beancurd skin roll with prawn ($2.50 for 2 pcs)
-mango with prawn fritter ($4.80 for 3 pcs)
-otah siew mai ($4 for 3 pcs)
-lo mai kai ($2.50)

The only gripe was the lomaikai was so hard! The hardest lomaikai ever haha. And the chicken portions werent alot.

Chee cheong fan was silky smooth but i am not very accustomed to their sauce which tastes slightly different from the typical sauce. And the chilli provided was also special is the hae bee hiam kind.

Overall still a satisfactory meal. Total price $18.80 for 2 pax!

Zhi Char Feast!

My family loves the tze char here! I have lost count of the number of times we have dabao-ed from this stall!

💫 curry chicken hor fan
💫fried ee fu mee
💫sambal fried rice
💫salted egg pork rib
💫 hot plate tofu

Lol and it was my first time dabao-ing a hotplate tofu dish! It is possible! 😂

was craving for Asian Food REALLY BADLY when overseas! Once back in Singapore, it was time for MEE POK at @meepok.time !

This is not your usual mee pok! The Signature Mee Pok Bowl ($6.50) comes with a superior soup that has dumpling, scallop, prawn paste meat, clams, minced pork, and pork ball! Loads of ingredients! For the noodles, you can choose chilli / tomato / black sauce for the base! The mee pok was super qq, the kind that I love! Comes garnished with pork lard and fish stripes too!

Besides mee pok, they also see teochew special porridge ($6.80). The ingredients in this pot of porridge was slightly similar to the mee pok! Fresh ingredients. Porridge was very comforting to eat! It is served in a claypot bowl as well to keep it hot!

For snacks, you can try the Crispy Fish Stripes ($3.50) too! Crunchy and addictive! It tasted like fish crackers, but a thinner version! Recommend to try this!

Still not sick of the food from @lauwangclaypot ! This is my number 1 preferred food choice whenever im at @singpostcentre now! And as usual, always the typical orders of sesame chicken ($6.30+) and sliced fish herbal soup ($7.30+). Still super comforting to eat even though portions have kinda shrunk over the years compared to when they only had one outlet in SG

My number 1 favourite dessert spot whenever im in bugis is at ah chew desserts! Head there earlier before everyone finishes dinner to have a shorter queue! My typical orders are usually an iced dessert and a cold egg pudding! 💕

Braised pork rice from The Voice Taiwanese Cuisine @thevoice.sg at PLQ Mall.

Visited this place with very low expectations after reading reviews on burpple app. But i ended up being very pleasantly surprised by it. I like that the braised pork was not super duper fatty. So it is good for ppl like me that dont really like fatty meat!

Ample sauce was given and there was half a braised egg too! Be warned that the chilli sauce is super duper spicy though!!

This was very worth it with the 1 for 1 on burpplebeyond app!

My second visit here for their high tea set!

The Degustation High Tea Set consists of the following items:
6 assorted mini eclairs
2 mini chicken bacon pie
4 assorted quiches
2 mini savoury scones
2 Parmesan Onion Crostini
2 Egg Mayo Choux
2 Mushroom Vol-au-vent
2 beverages (1 per person)

For the beverage, you can choose from drinks like iced cold matcha and hot teas too!

The high tea set is only available at the Dhoby Ghaut outlet. A very lovely and nice place to chill and relax. I also like how they have high tea set timing for 12pm, great for ppl like me who love to have high tea for lunch, instead of during afternoon high tea hours.
You will need to pay in advance upon reserving your slot online though. This set for 2 pax costs $68, one of the more affordable high tea sets in Singapore, and the best in terms of taste for this price point in my opinion!

- A4 Japanese Wagyu Beef Stick
- Fresh Oyster with Wasabi Ebiko
- Shime Saba - Seared Mackerel Marinated w Vinegar
-Yakitori Skewers: Chicken with Leek, Chicken Skin, Chicken Wing, Chicken Meatball, Pork Belly Shio, Pork Belly Miso, Cherry Tomato and Bacon, Golden Mushroom Bacon, Quail Egg Bacon!
-Garlic Fried Rice

The highlight of the dishes was the Shime Saba! The taste was out of the world! There is a tangy citrusy taste from the vinegar and the meat was very sweet and juicy and fresh! Highly recommend to try this!

Oysters were super fresh, and the A4 Wagyu Beef Skewer was well seasoned and grilled to perfection! The garlic fried rice was very fragrant and served piping hot!

For the platter of yakitori skewers we got, I like how they were all perfectly seasoned! No need for additional soy sauce / chilli powder! My favourites are the Chicken Wing and Quail Egg Bacon!

A very cozy place to chill and relax while having tasty skewers! They have a wide range of sake , beer and whisky too!

Honey Yuzu cake from @zeeandellesg !

Tried this cake at a birthday party recently and I was blown away by how good it tasted! At first glance, i was afraid that the cake was a creamy one (and i usually do not eat cream cakes). But turns out the cream itself was soo good that i had no qualms eating it!

This cake has a yuzu sponge cake, layered with freshly made yuzu curd and manuka honey infused cream. This is no wonder the cream tasted so good! Very light and refreshing!! 👍🏻

Definitely check out this cake if you are looking for one!
