Featured here are the following food items:
Kaeru Noashi Karaage (Frog Legs) ($13.80): My favourite food item was the fried frog legs! Really recommend to try this! It was crispy and fried to perfection and marination was perfect! It actually tasted pretty much like KFC fried chicken (in terms of the fried batter and spice)!
Ika Geso Karaage with Wasabi Mayo ($11.80): The fried squid was also super crispy and fresh!
Spicy Kaarage Bun (2pcs)($5.80): Spicy kaarage bun was also not too spicy, and sandwiched between two pillowy buns!
Yakiniku Butadon ($7.80): The pork yakiniku strips were thinly sliced and juicy! Love the onsen egg! What is special about this butadon is that there is TOBIKO in it too! Crunchy burst of flavours with each mouthful!
For drinks, we had the Peach Lemonade and Apple Juice. They also have a wide variety of alcoholic drinks!

The weather these days are JUST TOO HOT! Cool down with premium refreshing drinks from @serious.fresh!

@serious.fresh serves three main types of drinks - Serious Coconut Shakes, Serious Avocado Milkshakes and Tea Fresh Oolong or Milktea Series.

Featured here are the following drinks from the first two mentioned series:

Okinawa Avo-Coconut Shake with Okinawa Jelly ($6.80 + $1.20 for large cup + $1 for toppings): Brown sugar + coconut shake + avocado milk shake was such a good choice! I opted 25% sugar for this. But on hindsight, possible to go even lower 0% sugar since there is brown sugar in this drink! Okinawa jelly matches this drink perfectly! Love the silky smooth jelly!

Rock Melon Avocado Shake with Sakura Pearl ($5.60 + $1.20 for large cup + $1 for toppings): This combi was so good! I also love the very pretty pink shade of sakura pearls which has a chewy texture, like konjac jelly. Love it!

Besides the above two mentioned toppings, they also have many other super interesting topping choices to choose from (additional $1 each):
Signature - Golden Cloud Mouse, Ice Cream, Coconut Pearl
Jelly - Peach or Lychee
Bubbles and Purees - White pearl, peach gum, sweet potato puree, sweet potato ball or yam ball

Just the toppings alone warrants another re-visit to try them out!

They have 3 outlets in Singapore at Tampines 1, Bedok Mall and Northpoint! Check them out now!

Quench your thirst with @cococane !

Coconut water + sugarcane = Cococane! The combination of coconut water + sugarcane juice was pretty unique, the first in Singapore!

Their drinks are made from fresh coconut water and fresh sugarcane juice. 100% natural, no sugar and no preservatives are added! Their sugarcanes are harvested daily to ensure freshness! 💦

Here is what I tried:
💫Lychee Sugar Cane ($3.10)
💫Mango Cococane ($4.40)
💫Mango Coconut Avocado ($7)
💫Cococane bottled ($4.30)
💫Sugarcane bottled ($2.50)

I love all the drinks above, very thirst quenching! 👍🏻

For the bottled drinks, they will be packed with no ice so you wont get diluted drinks. Do note that the bottled drinks must be consumed within 24 hours!

North Indian food from @butterndspice!

Featured in this photo are the following items:
Holy Butter Chicken ($17): My all time favourite indian dish, and I totally love their version! Smokey and tender chicken! Generous amount of chicken portions given too! This creamy sauce is made from a blend of tomatoes, cashew nuts and cream!

Chicken Tikka ($13): I rarely go for chicken tikka, as I always pick butter chicken over this! We opted for a low spicy level curry gravy sauce, so it was just nice for us! Love the chunks of chicken mixed with the spices sauces!

Kadai Paneer ($15): This was our first time trying this dish! It is actually cottage cheese, but it tasted quite like tofu to me! If you are feeling adventurous and have never tried this dish before, do give it a go!

Garlic Butter Naan ($3.90): My number one favourite side to accompany all curry! Crispy Naan that is very fragrant with the bites of garlic!

Tandoori Roti ($2.90): If you prefer something more plain to go along with the curry gravy, try this!

Mango Lassi ($4.90): Yoghurt drink blended with mango. Fruity and creamy!

Sweet Salt Lime Soda ($4.90): A very special and popular lime drink that is made with soda, lime, sugar, salt or both! Thirst quenching and refreshing!

Check them out at The Flow, 66 East Coast Road, 01-06 !

It has been a long time since I last ate Botak Jones! As a kid, I loved their fish and chips and double baked cheese potato! They have since reopened in Singapore with 4 outlets in Singapore!

Here are the items we tried on a recent visit!

Haddock Fish n chips: This haddock fish and chips is definitely worth it! It still tastes as good as how I recall it to be! This premium haddock version has a meatier texture and I love it!

Fish n chips (dory): If the haddock fish and chips are slightly pricey to you, go for the dory fish and chips! It is also good! You can choose between the Pacific Dory or White Basa!

Botak Burget Set: We opted for the well done beef patty! The flame-grilled beef patty was super juicy and flavourful!

Black pepper Chicken set: This chicken set came with chicken breast meat, so do note it is slightly drier. I love the mushroom sauce that coats the black pepper chicken breast meat though!

For the above set menu items, you can opt for two sides (some sides come with additional premium charges):

Chicken Gumbo Soup: Have heards lots about this soup so decided to give it a go! Reminds me of chinese chicken soup for some reason! Has sausage and chicken meat in it!

Mushroom Soup: This mushroom soup was very thick and creamy, with many sliced mushroom bites in it!
Double baked cheese potato: My all time favourite sides! It is #stilldamngood !

Spicy Cajun Fries: Crispy fries! What is not to love about this!

Not-spicy fries: Surprisingly, i preferred the not-spicy fries to the spicy cajun fries!

Coleslaw: If too much fried food and fries is too much for you to handle, get this!

Butter Rice: Of all the sides, this was our least favourite. It reminded me of nasi lemak rice for some reason.
P
For drinks, we tried the Citron Lemon Soda, Super Berries Soda and Lychee Soda! Super refreshing and thirst quenching! They were also not too sweet!

If your stomach still has space, end off the meal with NY cheesecake!

Sizzling hotplate western food from @bbsizzling !

Featured here are the following items:
Signature cornflakes chicken ($8.90) - The signature cornflake chicken caught my attention! This came with a side of crispy fries and with coleslaw. I love how the chicken thigh was crusted in a super crispy layer! Juicy fried chicken! A very large portion too! The fries were also super crispy, fried to golden brown colour. Came with curry/chilli powder dusted on it to give the fries more kick, super like it!
Mentaiko grilled salmon fillet ($14.90) - This was served in a sizzling hot plate and it continued sizzling for quite awhile more after serving to keep the food warm! The salmon was grilled to perfection with crispy salmon skin and tender fresh salmon. Went well with the mentaiko sauce! Comes with crispy fries and a healthy sides of broccoli.
Check them out at Beauty World Centre (144 Bukit Timah Road) 04-25 ! A good meal to recoup energy after your hikes nearby at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve / Macritchie Reservoir. They also have another outlet at NTU canteen 14 for those staying further west!

Tzechar from 81 Seafood Restaurant!

We were finding new Tze Char places to try in the west to try out and decided to give this place a visit!

Here are the items we tried:
Assam fish head ($28): This was recommended by the staff. If not we would have went with the typical curry fish head. The assam fish head turned out to be not bad. Quite meaty fish portions given. Love the sour sweet assam taste!

Spicy Dry Chilli Chicken (Gong Bao chicken) ($12): While this was nice, we were quite shocked at the small portion of meat given!

Beancurd with minced meat topping ($12): Another one of the dish recommended by the staff.

Oyster Omelette ($12): This was not as crispy and fluffy as the typical oyster omelette I was expecting.

The meal was almost $70 for 4 pax. The place is advertised as having no GST and no service charge. However, do note that the portions run quite small. Also, they have increased the prices of some of the dishes, but this was not reflected on the menu given to us. Hence, we only found out about the updated pricing when making payment (the menu items are all minimally $12 now instead of $10)

Overall, the prices were slight affordable and food was decent tasting la, just need to be mindful that the portions are quite small.. They have indoor aircon and outdoor dining options. Do call head to make reservations for indoor seats, else you will be seated outdoor like us. They were quite crowded on a weekend dinner timing!
